Kitu Kiblu is a little gem in Kilindoni, only 5 minutes from the airstrip. The lodge is completely immersed in nature, with direct access to the ocean and a breathtaking view. The atmosphere is more of a family than an accommodation facility: you feel right away at ease with everyone, and you can immediately switch your brain off and take away any sort of stress that you carry on your shoulders. If you want, you can also organise an encounter with the whale sharks in a responsible and organized manner. I left a piece of heart in Kitu Kiblu and I'll definitely come back.

Featuring free bikes and a garden, Meremeta Lodge is situated in Utende, less than 15 minutes cycle from Mafia Island Diving. Free WiFi is offered. Meremeta and bis staff take care of everything and for everybody. They make everything possible and help you to arrange trips or anything else yet don‘t pressure you at all to book something. The food was excellent!

An amazing little island with outstanding tree house accommodation. Eco tourism at its finest. Plenty of activities to keep you entertained. Perfect for winding down after doing safari. Definitely worth a visit. The owner has done so much to help the locals which was lovely to see.
