With Rufiji Mafia Kilwa Marine Reserve reachable in 6.8 km, Kitu Kiblu offers accommodation, a restaurant, a garden, a terrace and a bar. Some units feature a seating area and/or a balcony. Kitu Kiblu is a little gem in Kilindoni, only 5 minutes from the airstrip. The lodge is completely immersed in nature, with direct access to the ocean and a breathtaking view. The atmosphere is more of a family than an accommodation facility: you feel right away at ease with everyone, and you can immediately switch your brain off and take away any sort of stress that you carry on your shoulders. If you want, you can also organise an encounter with the whale sharks in a responsible and organized manner. I left a piece of heart in Kitu Kiblu and I'll definitely come back.

Featuring free bikes and a garden, Meremeta Lodge is situated in Utende, less than 15 minutes cycle from Mafia Island Diving. Free WiFi is offered. Great value for money! Beautiful lodge with lovely staff- meremeta was really helpful with anything we needed! It’s just a short cycle ride to the beach which is gorgeous and not touristy. Couldn’t help but be swept up in the relaxed mafia vibe!

Chole Mjini Treehouses Lodge offers unique tree house accommodation on Chole Island in the heart of the Mafia Island Marine Park. The property has a dive centre. An amazing little island with outstanding tree house accommodation. Eco tourism at its finest. Plenty of activities to keep you entertained. Perfect for winding down after doing safari. Definitely worth a visit. The owner has done so much to help the locals which was lovely to see.
