The hotel is located in walking distance to the town center and the beach. The hotel was nice, clean, small but comfortable. Swimming pool was clean. We had all inclusive and the burgers by the pool area were a nice touch. Most of the staff were very friendly and nice. However we did not receive a proper welcome when we arrived.

Calella is the perfect choice if you want to combine the visits to Barcelona with hanging out on the beach and swimming. There is a railroad by the sea, with frequent trains, that can take you to Barcelona in 45-ish minutes, or for example, to city of Figueras, where you can visit the Salvador Dali museum. The recurrent ticket costs 10 euros. You can use it to visit other places (other beaches) on Costa Brava, there are 10-15 beautiful public beaches and all of them look awesome. In Calella you have plenty of restaurants and bars, that offer both Spanish food (paella, tapas, etc...) or "classic" - burgers, pizza, fish plates. The place is not too big so you'll get around easy, as the people are willing to talk and show directions.

A busy tourist beachside town with plenty of choice for restaurants bars etc as well as the usual holidays shops. The main shopping area is pedestrianised so thats great but for me too crowded and busy, a sort of Spanish Benalmadena without the nonsense, clean, no drinks and no nonsense

Calella beach was very clean and stretches for a few miles before it joins the next resort and didn’t get overcrowded. Nice restaurants and bars and the town is much quieter than Lloret which was a pleasant surprise. Would recommend a visit and would definitely go back.
It is easy to walk around the narrow streets and along the promenade to the next resorts along the coast. We didn’t hire the free bikes as we preferred to walk but the offer of free bike hire is definitely a bonus offered by the hotel.

Calella is a lovely traditional Spanish town.
Calella is a lovely traditional Spanish town. More local than tourist. With less choice of food and drink that a lot of other Spanish towns . Great shopping areas and friendly local people . Local beaches but no promenades.
Keeping this short as I have only got one arm having broken my other while in Spain.
Excellent location for the Barcelona Ironman, the hotel even catered for it with lots of pasta and an early breakfast on race day.
Food was adequate, but I'm not fussy!
Bath and shower were good and clean.
Having broken my arm most staff were helpful.
Enough space in room and balcony to assemble bike.
Location is awesome for train station, local shops and restaurants, Ironman race
I chose the hotel Colibri in Calella because of good price and location, very close to the sea and was very satisfied, the hotel is after renovation, so all is new and clean. The breakfast is included, very delicious and coffee is the theist I’ve ever drink. The beach is near, Calella is perfect place for the rest, near hotel there are : good shops, the park, church, fast train to Barcelona
We were very satisfied with the hotel. The rooms are big enough with a nice balcony and we even had a seaview. The air conditioning worked. Everything was clean. There are four elevators so there is a short waiting time. The dinners were delicious (but the half board is without drinks or water). And the hotel is close to the beach and shops or bus to Barcelona.
The breakfast was excellent both with lot of cold and warm food. The room was clean and big enough but important to book with "sea view" otherwise it faces to a very narrow and noisy street (without sol) The hotel has a "seaside" restaurant with excellent food and service.(see the pictures)
Great staff, air conditioned room and 360 degree view roof top deck with cabanas. Right across from the beach and town promenade. Quiet trains run twice and hour to and from Barcelona. Barcelona an hour away by train. Also direct bus 500 meters away to the Barcelona airport in 2 hours.
The staff is very friendly, especially Mr. Franki - the reception boss!
The rooms were cleaned everyday, always had fresh towels.
The food was absolutely wonderful, had different dinner every day with a lot of choices!
The location is the best, right next to the beach!
1) Nice and tidy aparthotel, good location close to everything: beach, supermarket, laundry, pharmacy, etc
2) Very nice staff, caring and helping at every point
3) Very good cleaning
4) Facilities in the room is good for daily family living
The location was great and the best area in Calella. The flat was nice clean and comfortable very well equipped apartment, We found all we needed inside. The beach is about 2 minute walk. Near are good restaurant and shops.
Hotel is old but well maintained and clean, polite staff and good breakfast and dinner. There is no luxury, but hotel has everything you need on the trip where time spent in hotel was used for meal and sleep.
Very clean, comfortable and functional apartments, with a very good value for money. Highly recommended in Calella, on the Costa del Maresme, near (60km) from Barcelona. 10 min from train station.
We like that its very close to everything(Train station, beach, restaurants, supermarket, and parks.) They have bicycle we use to go around calella. And the staff were very helpful and smiling.
Calella is a small town, walking street is nice and there are enough shopping facilities. Also many good restaurants. Beach areas are very good cared. Easy train access to Barcelona.
