Located on Médano Beach, this modern hotel has a 2-story sun terrace which forms a jetty surrounded by the ocean.

Complimentary breakfast was extensive but would have liked to have more variety of pastries!
The bar service on the deck was excellent and the view was lovely. The sun deck and ladder to the sea was wonderful.
We had a triple room with a curved balcony overlooking the beach, ocean, restaurants and Montana Roja. Bathrooms could use some counter space.

Amazing location directly on the beach, I could jump over the balcony down in the sand and ride the waves quicker than you can say "watch out for that wave!"

The property has a wonderful balcony with plenty of space to sit out there and enjoy a meal or a drink in the evening. Due to the direction of the balcony, it avoids most of the very high winds associated with El Medano. The bedrooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. The kitchen came well equipped and the added bonus of a washing machine meant that we could travel light and wash clothes as needed. The pool was also really beautiful. The hosts were kind enough to leave beach towels for us to use which came in handy.

El Medano is a good sport for windsurfing, kiting and Wind foiling. Its is generally windy even during the winter months. The town is small enough to feel quite intimate and has a nice buzzing vibe. A great place to socialise after a day on the water. On less windy days there are options for biking, or generally keeping fit with running or walking.
We ate out for breakfast and dinner and sampled a variety of cafes and restaurants in the town, mainly close to the main square. We enjoyed the food at all of them. They're not fancy but the prices are very reasonable.

Plus point if you're on a short trip is that it's very near the airport (taxi approx €20 with tip). Small town with plenty of bars and restaurants, also good supermarkets if you're self catering. There are several beaches, and there are walking trails to the hills nearby (which you can see from the seafront). The centre of town and the main beach get quite busy, but if you prefer it quieter you can walk along the seafront to less busy areas - fewer bars and facilities, but some lovely beaches within 20 min walk. We were there early March - temperature was low to mid 20s, mostly sunny, some patchy cloud. If you're into sailboarding there are places to hire equipment & have lessons. It's a laid back place - no nightclubs and not rowdy. In summary, a good place to come to relax and enjoy the sea and sun. If you want clubs, loads of activities etc, probably somewhere else would suit you better.

This is not your normal kind of tourist resort, its more Spanish and has a lot of locals with families which we liked. Has a very good water sport facility, if you are into this. Not many sun loungers are available on the beach which we liked, made it more natural. We mainly used hotel pool which was good for us. Beach and town was kept clean, with lots of dogs around, we were impressed.
The nearby red mountain nature park area was very accessible and lovely to walk in, but you need good shoes.

Very nice town in the south of the island close to the airport. Everything is reached very nicely by car. The town offers a variety of really nice fish restaurants, supermarkets, bars, and even a few beaches in town or super close by. Perfect for a long or short stay - and even more perfect if you don't want to get a car, since it's super close to the airport (3 min drive) and has public transport.

We came here for for great windsurfing spot. Other than that it is a pretty boring place. Living is relatively inexpensive though. Public transportation is not bad, however there is no direct connection to anywhere. It is always necessary to change the bus at San Isidro.

El Medano is traditional Spanish beach village.
El Medano is traditional Spanish beach village. It is not a tourist hotspot and it has a very different feel to other areas of Tenerife. We enjoyed that aspect. There are still many restaurants and cafes to enjoy but not as many crowds.
Great as always! Michaela and the Happy Guy always super friendly and helpful. I love that this place have the actual rules so you know what to expect each time, it makes this place suitable for very diverse range of people. The area is ideal for those that want to disconnect completely and is non touristic comparing to other surrounding towns, however El Medano is less than 20 minutes away on foot. If you stay at the dining area probably gonna meet a lot of new and amazing people! With that being said I will be surely returning once again! G

I reallllyyy loved my (3 night) stay at Tree House. it’s a little paradise in - what looks like a - small dessert at the sea. The hostel is very new. The all-female dorm was only occupied by me and another woman, which was nice. It was very easy there to get into contact with others and they organise many different things. I think the walk to El Médano was doable. The nearest beach was 15 minutes by foot. There are some cute smaller beaches nearby too. The pool was great, as well as the kitchen. I’d def come back!
I had an awesome time in the hostel. Inside looks so beautiful with a nice tree, flowers and white walls. There is an amazing pool with sun beds. A big kitchen with proper stuff to cook. Comfy rooms and friendly staff. They threw a barbecue party once when I was there, and they sometimes have sport courses like Zumba and Yoga which is great!
It’s also super easy to meet people and hang out. If I go to Tenerife again, I’ll definitely go back :)
The idea how the hostel is run and equipped is admirable .
It has much more things than other places offer, like free sport equipment, breakfast, coffee, even earplugs which r much needed hahah...
The people, group available and events they make , the bar was great although I stayed only one night I met brilliant people and it was the best stay out of my whole 10 days in Tenerife.
A beatiful two bedroom appartment right on the ocean shore, the beach is just across the street. Spacious and well decorated, has a big terrace (bigger than in the photos) with beatuful ocean view, you will be enjoy terrific sunrises here. The location is few hundred meters from El Medano centre, which gives you perfect calm spot, away from evening noises.
Spacious and nice outdoor area. Ok inside. Good kitchen equipments. The view of the sunrise from the property and Mt Pelado was fantastic. The property is about 50m from the path that leads to the Mt Pelado and that was a great bonus! We also had many other hiking tours around Tenerife with El Teide as highlight. Nice with washing machine then.
Location, location, location! Want to surf in El Medano, but stay in a hotel? This is the most optimal location at the border of kitesurfing and windsurfing beaches. Lockers available for storage of materials and room to hang wetsuites as well as rinse boards and other materials.
Rooms are brand new and staff is superfriendly.
Wonderful place to stay in Tenerife - the apartment itself is comfortable and spacious, the terrace is sun-lit during the mornings. The complex is fairly new, well-maintained and has a good location. El Medano is a charming small town, definitely would recommend El Medano and Eva's place to spend a vacation in Tenerife.
It is a "train carriage" style studio with windows at the entrance and a bathroom without windows at the end. It is suitable for a one-night stay for two people before the flight. The studio has a perfect location in the center of El Medano (and a good washing machine). Internet connection is also good.
Access to the ocean directly from the terrace, wonderful breakfast, helpful and kind staff, big balcony... We spontaneously decided to make a 3 night stay in Tenerife and chose this place and hotel by chance - we liked it so much that we decided to also spend our Christmas vacations here!
The hotel has a very good location ! And it's bigger than anything else in El Medano! Close to the beach and with an amazing ocean view! Very well decorated! Warm oceanic water in the swimming pool! The room was clean enough! Breakfast like breakfast 🥞) we've never been starving )
The house was lovely. Modern and with all the essentials. The area was beautiful and we have a good knowledge of Tenerife but never been here before. It has some of the best restaurants ever.
The communication from Margarita was amazing and we can't wait to come back
Everything. The staff were SO kind and full of personality, the food had good variety and very tasty, and the room, pool deck, restaurant, and hotel were clean and tidy. Literally the best hotel for the windsurfing views and La Montana Roja view too.
Very spacious apartment. Well equipped kitchen. Nice sea view from terrace. Short walking distance to El Medano beaches and restaurants. Nearby supermarket. Indoor parking is very convenient. Friendly check-in, and easy check-out.
Wonderful place to stay in el Medano. Hostel is equipped with all required facilities and cleaned every day. Silence after 23h is highly respected and during the day italian mafia won't make you sit bored :D
The food buffet had some nice things. The large balcony was nice to sit and relax and enjoy the view. The hotel is a pleasant 10 min walk along the coastline to El Medano to many excellent restaurants.
More than a stay this is a one of a kind experience. The vibe here is so good. People are friendly and cook and eat together. The staff are super nice. It made our stay in Tenerife a memorable one.
