On top of the Santa Catalina hill, this 18th-century castle has been beautifully renovated keeping its huge stone walls and many historical features to make for an authentic stay in Jaén.

Comfortable bad, adequate size of the room and bathroom (walk-in shower is fantastic) 👌.
It is very clean, the room is cleaned on demand by hanging the sign on the outer doorknob; the towels are changed once in two days.
Breakfast (buffette) is very good (always fresh fruits and local extra virgin olive oil which is fantastic). The central position of the hotel is another plus - close to the centro historico, to all cafes, restaurants, shops, museums, bus station...

The man who ran the place was very helpful and friendly. We were traveling by bicycle and were able to carry them up to the room and keep them inside (no elevator). The location is very good if you want to be in the heart of Jaen. In Spain this often also means that bars and restaurants will be very lively and noisy until at least midnight. We were there on a Saturday night. There are several right next to the hotel.
Set in Jaen City Center, right across the Ibero International Museum, Iberos Jaén offers free WiFi and free luggage storage. The guest house is 1640 feet from Jaen Train Station.

You need to be fit and active to get about the hilly setting of the city.
Obviously traffic is heavy but a good portion of the streets are pedestrianised.
Street beggars and graffiti are common place as in most cities.
History, religion, olive oil and panoramic views are plentiful.
Spanish language skills need to good.

Interesting part of Andalucía often overlooked.
Interesting part of Andalucía often overlooked. It has a cathedral and Arab bath ruins. The town is hilly. There is a castle on a nearby hill, but you will need a taxi to go there. One thing about Jaen that you do not find elsewhere in Andalucía is that impatient drivers lay on their horns. Jaen is very hilly so take your time and rest as needed. The sites and architecture at the top of the city is amazing.

Jaen is worth a visit, a beautiful view from the castle, a cosy old town, good food and friendly people!
The castle has an interesting history, and the Cathedral is a must while exploring the old town! Do not forget to taste the local food - it opens new experiences to you!!
And if you enjoy shopping -all that you need you can find both in a huge mall Ingles and in small cosy local shops! The olive oil is sure the best in Jaen as it is all surrounded by huge fields of olive trees!

The room was terribly hot, a true nightnare, I didn’t sleep at all. The 2 rooms were sold with airco, but they weren’t working. In the morning the reception staff couldn’t care less that I hadn’t slept at all. I felt terrible, nobody was sorry, apologized or could understand the fact that I complained about having bought a room with airco to find that they didn’t put it on.
I have never seen such a bad attutide of reception staff.
I will never go back.

Jaen is a very classy town and at the same time with a young heart.
The views to the mountains that surround the town , the cathedral, the arab baths, the history museum and ,not the last, the many Michelin restaurants are enough reasons to plan a visit.
The staff were super helpful when my train was scheduled to arrive a little after the regular check-in times - it was a last minute trip and all accommodations with later check-in times were booked, so they allowed me to contact them when I arrived and check me in. The bedroom was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Cute balcony view overlooking a small street. Close walk to lots of food and the historic monuments of Jaen.
Very spacious, bigger than we expected. Lovely décor, a mix of modern and traditional Spanish. Well equipped kitchen. Nice comfortable furniture and beds. The patio is small and not a space to eat outside etc. but was great for light and airflow, and for our dogs to have an outdoor space. The host was helpful and accommodating, especially after we had issues with our travel to Jaén.
Location is great, just next to Jaen Cathedral, the city centre but quiet street. There are shops nearby and accessible to public transport.
Landlady Noema is so kind and very helpful, the apartment has all up-to-date facilities. Especially I liked the kitchen, there's also spacious balcony with the view of Jaen Cathedral.
The flat was just perfect for my family to stay one night in Jaén. It was super clean and cozy, and there was everything we needed. The host, Toni, and his family was welcoming our family upon arrival. (muy amable) Toni was very responsive and easy to communicate.
Muy recomendable.
Fantastic apartment, in a really quiet, clean block. Very spacious, excellent location close to the old town. Host was friendly and helpful. The welcoming bottle of cava was much appreciated.
Jaen is a very relaxed town with plenty of quiet places to sit, day or night.
Exceptional property, located high above the city. We ate our meals at the excellent restaurant. Nice to walk out to the cross, just past the castle located next to the hotel. Walked out at midnight. Great views of the city below.
Ten minute walk to cathedral. Clean hotel. Great buffet breakfast for 11 euros per person. They do have parking, however it was full so we parked across the street in the recommended parking garage for 17.50 euros per night.
A wonderful stay in Jaén. The apartment was much bigger than we had thought and it was a gem of a place, recently redone (or built?), it was everything it could be. We were really very satisfied with it.
The location in the centre of Jaen with a car park nearby. The rooms were light and spacious. Dog friendly with sound proof rooms, and a park opposite for walks. There was a good breakfast choice.
Everything about this place was fabulous from the kind welcome at reception to the excellent food in the restaurant. This hotel set the '10' standard for my 6 week Europe and scandanavia trip.
Everything was perfect. We run a hotel in the UK and were really impressed by everything at this accomodation. Very modern. Spotlessly clean, great facilities.
This hotel has a good location, near the old center of the city and the beautiful kathedraal .
The rooms are just fine, but the breakfast is very simpel.
