After a long day of walking, we checked in and immediately felt welcome by the friendly staff. The staff was exceptional friendly and helped us to obtain our luggage that got lost or delayed during transport. The room was very comfortable with a lovely bathroom. In the evening, we had a lovely meal and very good breakfast the next day that we thoroughly enjoyed.

Pontevedra is a must on anyone's list visiting the north of Spain. I have fallen in love with the town and will definitely be back when I can. It is clean and has an old town charm about it and very easy to get around. Loads of history and also enough to keep you busy on an evening for a night filled with tapas and wine. Also, best churros I have ever had.

The people in Pontevedra were lovely.
The people in Pontevedra were lovely. Very friendly & helpful. Food & drink were value for money & always good quality. It feels very ‘Spanish’ & not too touristy. Totally recommend for a mainland stay.

Pontevedra is a very pretty city.
Pontevedra is a very pretty city. The old town area is large and stylish and has all the tourist needs like amazing food and drink places, accommodation, markets and shops and it's been fully pedestrianised. Also is surrounded by amazing beaches and trekking paths.

Pontevedra has a charming old city center, with its two-storied houses and its porticoes. As a pilgrim, I recommend a visit to the cathedral and to the monastery complex, and a casual stroll about the streets. Though I know there is much more to see and to do in Pontevedra besides passing by. There are restaurants for every taste, ranging from fast food and pizzas to the local gastronomy, which is very rich and tasty - the fish and the octopus. If there is one thing I really didn't like (at all), it was the bus station, which looks abandoned. If you must travel by bus, you'd better go directly to the bus parking place and try to find someone to talk to over there - or ask a bus driver.

Pontevedra (and surrounding areas) is a must to visit. The food is great, the atmosphere is relaxed - so a great place to go if you want to get away. It has history, culture and the walk along the river is priceless (either for sport or just to relax). The people are great too. Pontevedra is a great city to walk in (you can tell there's been a big push for pedestrians in preference to cars!)

Great city to visit, well of the tourist trail.
Great city to visit, well of the tourist trail. Lots of bars & restaurants, especially in the old city. Did a trip to the Atlantic coast which was well worth the effort. Stunning views out to the islands.
Excellent location. Walkable to everything in Pontevedra. We were racing in a large triathlon and it was easy to get to everything. We heard of other athletes having their bookings cancelled last minute so that their host could re-list at a higher price, but we did not have any issues and we were very grateful. Host communicated effectively and everything went smoothly. Met a few neighbors as we were there for a few days and everyone was friendly.
Beautiful room and setting, well-appointed throughout. Lovely terrace, and breakfast was superb (best coffee in Spain so far). Quiet night.
We are walking the Camino Portuguese and Ana picked us up at the Monastero and dropped us off at the Camino route the next morning. I was also driven to town to attend the pilgrims' welcome at the Monastero.
My partner wasn't feeling well and was given ibuprofen by staff.
Everything was just over my expectations. Julio and his mother Gloria are making everyone feel like home and they made the stay at the hostel and also visit to Pontevedra absolutely spectacular. Best breakfast on the Camino for sure. Really clean and even a bit luxurious comparing to other hostels on the Portuguese Camino route.
Gracias por todo ♥️
It’s a family run hotel and they were very nice and accomodating. Which given them a poor review feels a bit mean. The location is good close to the old town. Even though it felt a bit run down around the hotel. They had a kettle in the room with tea and coffee which I really appreciated
The location was okay, about 15 min walk to the center of Pontevedra, and it's pretty close to the train station. We heard little to no noise during the night, and the apartment was in excelent conditions, with sweet small balcony to relax
The location of this hotel was excellent. Very close to the historic centre of Pontevedra. The room was basic but comfortable enough. Staff did their job but we’re not particularly friendly. Beds were comfortable and shower was fine.
This is the third time I have stayed at this albergue. I came the first time on the Camino and the other 2 times I was passing through Pontevedra and I repeated because it was such a good feeling place
It's an older style comfortable hotel very close to the old town and right on the Camino. Very spacious room and bathroom.Well managed and looked after, mostly nice and helpful staff .
the best thing is that it is just outside Pontevedra train station. it is clean and fairly new, with some signs of wear. Room size is fairly standard for such hotels here.
The hot water and bathtub were so enjoyable after a day of walking on the Camino! The location of the hotel was close to the Camino and local sites/restaurants.
