This finca is so well done—delicious bedding, quiet without being boring, attentive staff that show up only when you need them. Breakfast is fantastic. An example of their attention to detail: I said I wanted hard boiled eggs every day and there they were, every single day. This seems like a simple thing, but someone took the time to write it down so that no matter who was working that day, they knew what I liked for breakfast.

    This is my second review.

This is my second review. We reported a boiler or hot water tank problem at 1.30 am. It woke us and the noise and overheating plug worried us. In the morning we had to insist to be offered another apartment by central reservations. I asked whether they had had similar problems previously. I was told not. I have just seen six other guests had reported "boiler" problems by searching the reviews. I wonder what I might find by searching "tank". Then one could try translations into various languages. I do not appreciate being lied to!

Son bou is a fantastic place to stay.

Son bou is a fantastic place to stay. It has something for everyone. There is good restaurants of various food choices. The beach is easy to get to and it’s beautiful. We love the Kitcat Bar as they have entertainment a few evenings a week. They do a Quiz and in high season karaoke. All sports are played on the various TVs. It’s run by a wonderful friendly family and they make you feel very welcome. The food and drink is excellent too.

Food selection both for breakfast and dinner were great!

Food selection both for breakfast and dinner were great! Hotel has a minibus that takes guests to the beach every half an hour (with a break during the lunch). This is great as the hotel is up the hill, the walk is not too long but can be challenging for some people. Nearby beach is long and sandy, with options to rent umbrellas and sunbeds. It can be busy at times. Waves are often high, so swimming can be challenging. There are a couple of restaurants near the beach, with reasonably priced decent food, in case you wish to dine out, but the hotel restaurant is much better. There is a bus stop near the beach where you can get the bus to go to towns across the island, some direct and some with change. Buses don't go often, and there are very few of them on Sundays, so plan things ahead if you wish to venture out. Daily boat trips on the island are often sold out, as there are only a couple of options available on the entire island, so it is recommended to book trips before arriving on the island, as the prices are fixed. Renting a car can also be challenging, and it is recommended to check options in advance.

The beach was very long and it was easy to find space away from other people if you wanted to. It was end of season though so probably very packed in peak season. We didn’t like the restaurants in the town - we tried three different ones during our stay and the food was decidedly average and overpriced. It’s unlikely that we would return to Son Bou apart from going to the beach possibly.

Son Bou is a beautiful area with a great beach.

Son Bou is a beautiful area with a great beach. It’s a very clean area and has beautiful weather, even at the start of October we had clear blue skies and 26°c, perfect for sunbathing and swimming in the pool. I recommend staying in Valentin hotel.

A lovely village with beautiful views, a few supermarkets and the odd 'club' but nothing too hectic. Some nice restaurants catering mainly to families. Gorgeous beach and lots of hiking available. Beautiful marshland protected from over-development. It felt relaxed and friendly. We used the bakery every day and ate at Allesandros which was excellent.

I was extremely glad that some one called me back when I arrived at the Son Bou Gardens reception office. The reception office was closed at the time. I do not remember the ladies name, but she was very nice and came quickly. She provided me with the keys and gave me a tour of the apartment. I arrived in the off season, so I expected minor problems. I would recommend Son Bou Gardens to other visitors. My advice for over seas visitors, call or send an email before you get there to confirm your reservation to make your arrival more smooth.

Host was in contact with us frequently on the day of arrival so it was easy to arrange a time to collect the keys. Nice and private location with lovely sea views. Lots of local shops and restaurants within walking distance. The pool is a good size but quite deep if you have small children. Plenty of sun loungers for a larger family. Handy washing machine and drying area off the kitchen for all your towels. A week wasn't long enough as I wish I could have stayed longer. The sunset beach walks were amazing.

We really liked to stay here for a week. The hotel is located very near the beach and has amazing views from higher floors. Although the hotel is not new it was very clean, room service cleaned the room every day which is nice. There were also great activities at the pool such paddleboard yoga/pillates, pool biking, fitness. We had half-board, there were plenty of choices for everyone. Really nice hotel and great place to be. Son Bou is beautiful village to visit.

very clean property, functional kitchen (no oven though, apart from microwave). Cleaning staff went out of their way to try and visit the room for cleaning at the times when we were either at the beach or when our child was not sleeping (we usually have long naps in the middle of the day). Pool is amazing and had plenty of room even though multiple families were there with their kids at the same time.

Overall, it was great. Had half board and stayed 3 nights (late May - so off season). The beach is right there outside the hotel. They also gave 2 beach towels. Stayed in a room with a sea view and that was a really good decision and highly recommended. The food was good and diverse. Supermarket just across the street. Pool looked great - but didn't use it. Might return.

The location is great, up on the hill in Son Bou with a wonderful view over the dunes to the sea. The property was neat and tidy, plenty of space, the balcony offers sun, shade and views over the garden and down to the sea. The pool was private and perfect for a refreshing swim - might be a bit small if there were 6 of you in it.

Perhaps the best hotel in the Son Bou area. We stayed in one of the apartments and loved it. Breakfasts were amaaaazing. So so yummy! The staff were so incredibly friendly! I loved the spirit of the staff in charge of activities such as yoga, archery, aqua gym, etc. Thank you for making our stay so nice.

Great location and pool , good view from balcony main positive is the great value for what you pay, more private than a apartment for not much more money. Menorca rentals are a excellent firm to book with and been staying in their properties years.

The view and all the facilities. It has full equipment. The beach is walking distance BUT if you don’t have good condition you need a car or a taxi to get to the apartment. We had a great time, definitely a great location to stay
