No much, everything was very basic. Breakfast was simple with only bacon, sausage, fried egg, mushroom and tomato to choose from. Only a few option on in the continental side.
Spa use is included from check in to check out for guests enjoying a bed and breakfast, or dinner bed and breakfast package. Spa use is not included at any time when booking a room only rate.

My husband used the pool which he said was very good. We seem to hit breakfast as each ingredient needed replacing so that was a little disappointing but the breakfast choices were excellent. The garden room was very good but would’ve liked to see and use a bath mat when showering. It was quite noisy after wedding party and guests leaving. On the whole very good

Very friendly and efficient staff. Simple but very comfy room (lovely bed) with all the facilities necessary. It's a bit quirky because its an Edwardian building (120 years oldish) with lots of the original features - lots of heavy, dark wood about and stained glass in every door. There was also a lovely smell of a coal fire in the lobby (not the bedrooms). Some of the corridor carpets might have been installed on new build! :-)
The local area Port Sunlight - is great for an evening walk and architecturally very interesting.
If you need a super new, anti septic hotel its not for you but if you want somewhere with character book it now.
In 38 acres of peaceful grounds, just 15 minutes from Chester, this beautifully preserved Edwardian manor has a fantastic restaurant, free Wi-Fi, a log fire and charming individually decorated rooms.

We picked to stay at the Woodcote as it was within 1.5 ml from our sons house. This was perfect stop over to enjoy a catch up. We booked a table for 4 at the hotels resturant. The choice from the menu was excellent . The quality of food, first class. To top the evening our waitress was faultless. A real pleasure to interact. The complete evening was so nice.
The full English breakfast was one of the tastiest i have had in a very long time. Cooked to exactly how i asked for. A real treat that a chef listens and does not chuck out whats convenient to them . The small details matter when its your pocket that pays for it. 10 out of 10

The hotel was ideally placed for Cheshire Oaks our main reason for being in that area. The hotel was lovely, very clean and newly refurbished very stylish and modern, the area seemed quiet even though it was quite near main roads, plenty of onsite parking. Nice area to walk around.

Really friendly staff, lovely clean room & a tasty freshly cooked breakfast with nice coffee. I was on the ground floor which was nice too. All if the rooms appear to be almost chalet style which was novel & was almost like staying in a mini street. Decoration & bathroom was perfect, soft carpets & an extremely comfortable bed.

We stayed in one of the little cottage type rooms.
We stayed in one of the little cottage type rooms. It was clean and comfortable. There could of been a little more tea and coffee but if you went to reception then you probably would of been given more. Nice area to stay.
This is basic and affordable hotel, and but is an extremely pleasant place to stay. It is just off the motorway, is in a quiet neighbourhood, but has great connections with the Wirral and with Chester, being only a 15 minute walk to Hooten Station. The carpark is spacious and right next to the property, and breakfast was affordable yet adequate. The room and bathroom was clean, well equipped and spacious, and perfectly comfortable albeit basic.
The staff and management were so accommodating. They were all happy to see you, morning, noon, and night. The breakfast was exceptional for a vegetarian like me. The garden area was delightful for my end of day celebrations. We all will remember our visit to open golf in 2023 and our stay at the Woodcote hotel, which made our journey complete. We hope to come back and visit again soon. Thank you, thank you, thank you
The hotel was an excellent location as we were Christmas shopping and was a very short drive from Cheshire oaks. The restaurant was a surprise bonus as food was amazing so fresh lamb koftas and pavlova were so good and all home made. The rooms were large and surprisingly warm as is a really old building but we're of a very good standard for the price we paid.
We chose Woodcote Hotel to visit Liverpool and Chester. It is well located within walking distance of the train station. There is ample guest parking on site. The staff are friendly and helpful. The interior of the rooms is quite modern. Has a restaurant and bar below which is convenient.
The hotel was lovely our rooms were lovely away from the main hotel
The gardens were very well maintained and pretty
The owners and staff were so helpful couldn’t do enough for us even supplied us with a fan for the room
Ideal location for our trip. Not far from Hooton station. Room and rest of the hotel were spotless. Bar reasonable priced, staff very friendly. Breakfast well worth the addition
