    Highly recommended.

Highly recommended. The accommodation was comfortable the food was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A very small criticism would be that my wife waited 20 minutes for a single slice of toast at breakfast. I did mention it to a member of staff. Hope this solves the problem for future guests.

Great place to enjoy a relatively quiet seaside holiday.

Great place to enjoy a relatively quiet seaside holiday. Good local food. Afternoon tea at the Cottage Hotel overlooking the sea is not to be missed. Hope Cove is small enough to allow you to walk everywhere. The road to Hope Cove from the main road is very narrow but there are passing places.

A great coastal location in the South Hams with some glorious scenery and coastal walking around, either from the front door or a short drive away. Although very much a holiday destination with, in truth, rather too many holiday lets/rentals, the village does benefit from three eateries, two of them as part of pubs, one being fairly smart and traditional (Hope&Anchor), and the other more of a hip/'craft' bar that serves excellent pizzas (The Cove). There is no convenience store in the village. P.S. The narrow lanes are NOT for the faint-heated or those who do not know the width of their car !!!

A lovely unspoilt location, with lovely walks , unfortunately due to COVID there were little places to eat but the pub we found The Cove was brilliant with very friendly staff and felt very safe as Covid priorities in place . Hope cove is an excellent base , with easy access to Dartmouth, salcombe And kingsbridge . Overall we had a wonderful couple of days.

Hope Cove is a gem of a location.

Hope Cove is a gem of a location. Sadly the main pub by the beach is closed until March 2021 due to a flood. There are other eateries and small gift shops open. Great base for South Hams and fantastic for beaches and coastal walks.

The breakfast was excellent with a great selection and our room had a good sea view. Although dinner was not avalable on the Monday, the hotel gave us a really nice lunch hamper which was a nice thought. The only thing to watch out for is the parking in the main car park as its on a timed ANPR system and the overnight ticket ends at 9.00am the next morning. Apart from that we had a great time and would be more than happy to return for another short break

Stayed in the Cottage Hotel for a night at Hope Cove while walking the South West Coastal Path. Nice hotel, quite old fashioned in a quaint way. Our room was not the most expensive at the hotel so was quite small, but did have a sea view. Great shower though! Evening meal for residence was a complete bargain and very good quality with good service all round. Breakfast was likewise very good to set us on our way in the morning.

Disappointed when I saw the advert it stated balcony and sea views, when I clicked book no balcony and harbour views. Room was very very small. Breakfast was good. Staff polite and helpful. Hotel is very dated and a little tired in places but it is all about the location
