Location and comfort. Food was excellent in the pub. There was a problem with the hot water in the morning, however once it was reported we were recompensed and an engineer was on site quickly.

Jack was Mr Hospitality himself and gave us a wonderful welcome. He has his hands full, having only recently taken over the hotel, and he goes above and beyond for his guests.

The restaurants and nightlife were excellent considering the size of Pitlochry. Reasonable range of shops, not too tacky. Found accommodation relatively expensive compared to cities ie Glasgow, Dundee and on a par with Edinburgh.

Beautiful and friendly.
Beautiful and friendly. The village is lovely with a good choice of bars, cafes and restaurants. There are great walks and excellent opportunities for cycling.
There are some interesting shops too and if you're into tweed, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

We first visited Pitlochry in autumn 2019 - it was delightful then - it’s now spring 2024 - just as enjoyable, not a lot has changed. The main shopping precinct is busy with bus tours and particularly with tourists over the weekend - early mornings are best to get a seat in a coffee shop . To beat the crowds, take the suspension bridge across Tummel River to the Port-na-Craig area - the stone cottages and pub by the river bank is a tranquil area to enjoy. Continue along the walking path to the ‘salmon ladder’ and beyond to Faskally Wood or much further to the Killiecrankie Visitors Centre.
We had a brilliant stay - gorgeous hotel, great setting on a hill overlooking the countryside around Pitlochry, and only a quick walk into the centre of town. We got a bonus upgrade from a classic room to a garden room which is in the new building next to the main hotel, and was all beautiful with our own patio doors opening onto a little garden which was lovely to enjoy in the morning. We had a DBB deal and the food, service, lounge area with fireplace to relax in, was all amazing. We'll definitely be back and would highly recommend!!
Lovely staff, very welcoming and accomodating. And the dog was such a cute addition too! The hotel is just 5 mins walk to the main road in Pitlochry, and easily accessible both via car and walk/public transport. Room was clean and the bathroom had a nice shower, a big bath and also heated floor. Tasty breakfast, and we particularly loved the fact that all the products were local, and the attention to sustainability was clearly visible.
We had a very nice but small room. Very adequate for our one night stay. It's in a great location on the main street in Pitlochry and the onsite bar and restaurant were very busy even on a midweek night. The room and public areas were very clean and the staff pleasant and helpful. We were able to leave our bag in the hotel on arrival and departure. We would definitely come back. The dinner we had was very good and so was the breakfast.
Everything was perfect. A great hotel with everything we needed, ran by lovely, friendly people who were very helpful.
There was a path in the garden that led down to the back of the main street, so it was ideally located.
The bedrooms were nicely furnished and the bathroom was clean with toiletries provided.
There was an excellent choice for breakfast.
I will be returning next time we come to Pitlochry.
The reception staff were friendly and polite although the gentleman responsible for manning reception seemed to be stretched in all directions as he was checking guests in, running the bar, and serving food. He could’ve benefited from having some more help on hand! The hotel has ample free parking available which was great. The location is also good, as it’s a short walk into the Main Street in Pitlochry.
Beautiful hotel in a beautiful spot, great choice at breakfast (including poached eggs on request which made me very happy). Staff are so helpful and friendly. Room was very spacious and comfy and the bathroom was excellent. Very close to the shops and restaurants in Pitlochry and the local visitor attractions.
We didn't try the restaurant in the evening but certainly will next time.
Very clean and comfortable. Attention to detail .Location and views were great. Karen is the entertainment but also a stickler for hygiene ad good practice. We had family staying in Pitlochry Hydro but they preferred visiting our hotel (mostly to see Karen ). On our next trip to Pitlochry we will definitely be booking again. Breakfast was lovely and very well presented.
Kerry was a great hostess, very friendly and helpful. She gave us a lot of ideas what to see in the area.
Our room was beautiful and clean, the garden and surroundings adorable and the breakfast was superb with delicious coffee and white tablecloths. The walking distance to Pitlochry was a big advantage
Location, easy walking distance to all shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. Friday and Saturday nights groups playing.Hotel b/fast set you of for the day, pool, sauna and jazzcua with poolside loungers.Would recommended having a massage or 2 girls really good. All staff friendly, helpful, rooms spotless .
Excellent family owned hotel. The restaurant deserves a 5 star rating and the bonus was the view of the beautiful gardens from this room. The staff could not have been more helpful. We look forward to a return visit and can highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting Pitlochry.
Room was excellent. Location was perfect and close to everything in Pitlochry, which is a fun little town! Facilities were clean and the room was quiet. Breakfast was great and appreciated. Staff were very polite and fun to get to know
Location amazing, walk into pitlochry beautiful, staff polite, tour of hotel on way to room and a bit of history about the building. Breakfast was fantastic.
Tip to walk into pitlochry.
Room 104 not much view but beautiful room.
Breakfast was great, great selection of food. Pool was lovely. Staff all very friendly, David on the door that met us as we arrived was very welcoming and gave us a tour. Hotel gorgeously decorated, room very clean.
Loved the hosts, the setting, their home and fabulous breakfast. Pitlochry is a charming Scottish town worthy of a visit and a stay at the Derrybeg B & B was a highlight of our trip.
Beautiful old house converted into a hotel. This place has character! Very close to town and close to the Pitlochry Highland Games, which is why we came. The room was clean and comfy.
Cute B&B in Pitlochry, Scotland. Beautiful inside & out. Stayed here on our way to Inverness. Another beautiful view out of the window of our room. Host was wonderful.
Excellent hotel grate location good atmosphere but though it was a bit expensive considering you can get a 4 or 5 star hotel with leisure facilities for cheaper
