The Redgarth was easy to find and we got a warm welcome from Stuart the owner, staff and locals. Check in was straightforward and the breakfast pre order worked well. The room was large, clean and bright and the bed was very comfortable. All staff were friendly and professional.

The reception staff were responsive, efficient and friendly. The staff in the breakfast room were very polite and considerate. A good range of options for breakfast of which we chose the full Scottish, which was beautifully cooked. Our room was both practical and beautifully furnished. We also loved the sense of humour on the embroidered slippers!

If you want a quiet place to stay then this is it ....Totally silent which is what we like. The hosts Karolyn and Chris are really friendly and make you very welcome As mentioned by previous guests the breakfasts are v good and the idea of an honesty bar is a boon .........Sit by the open fire ( which Chris tops up as the evening goes on) and crash out. Bed was very comfortable -Slept like a log.
