Great bar, lively. Room was warm. Needed to sleep above duvet. Noise from wedding celebration downstairs but managed to sleep fine. Great shower. We left early with no time for breakfast.

They would not turn on mini fridge in the room. There are no plug sockets beside the bed. Bed was incredibly hard. Very dated hotel. €125 for one night midweek without breakfast was expensive.

Last minute late booking accepted when everywhere else in Ashbourne was booked out.
Has 2 bedrooms, 1 with a double bed and 1 with a single and a double bed.
It was perfect for 4 of us, only 5 minutes from Ashbourne Town centre @ €50 per head.
Spotless clean, excellent shower, comfy beds, warm apartment.
We just needed somewhere to put our heads down but it'd be perfect base too if you're exploring the area for a few nights.
Gas hob, fridge freezer, kettle, toaster etc. Plus all your cutlery.

As a family of 4 people attending the Harry styles concert in slane castle 🏰. After booking this Pilo hotel with two teenagers it was an absolute disgrace . I arrived back about 2 am to a room without any clean towels or bins 🗑 emptied. They also must have work going on as the loud banging noises from the room next door 🚪 I thought a hammer was coming through our walls . Before we left for the concert 🎵 I asked the cleaners to freshen up our room with clean towels and stuff and they just nodded at me . I’m not sure even if they speak English or not but very rude. No one was on reception and my husband had to drive to a shop to get loo roll 🧻 for our children 👧. The next morning as I was checking out I made staff aware of what happened and they said I should have called reception for assistance. The same reception we passed through on the way in this was unattended.
Anyway they have fun cctv and they had the audacity to try and put the blame back on me saying I had put a do not disturb sign 🪧 on the door 🚪. This again was lie’s as I took a picture of my kids leaving for the concert 🎵 and no signs were hanging on my room door .
The staff are very rude and also another lady who had the same problem as us was telling them about her stay . No towels for shower 🚿 or soap and loo rolls as well , so we all could not have been lying 🤥. I’ll never recommend this place for anyone else.

Good choice of Restaurants and shopping facilities.
Good choice of Restaurants and shopping facilities. Ashbourne Garden Centre on the outskirts of the town had an excellent Cafe. If you were visiting Tayto Park it was a great base for families as it was very near.

Tayto park is very close by for families looking for a lovely day out. There is buses that can bring you into Dublin for those who would love to look around the capital, or those who love to shop. Ashbourne also has "fifty fifty" restaurant in the location. This place does the most superb food and I would recommend for people to visit.

My stay at the Pillo Hotel was very good.
My stay at the Pillo Hotel was very good. Stopped in the town briefly, there looked to be a good selection of shops.
My highlight was seeing the statue of "Himself" (Arkle) in such a lovely setting. I then had coffee in a nearby teashop where I was served by very friendly staff.
On the Saturday evening, I ate with friends just out of town at " The Snailbox". Very nice food, with music later in the evening. Very welcoming staff.
Hotel reception ordered a taxi for me to get to "The Snailbox" it arrived within 5 minutes. Very impressed.
Very clean, quiet place with a private garden, a super friendly landlord and everything you could possibly wish for! It is marvelous, book it and see for yourself! Yes, it is a bit remote but everything you need is within 8-15 minutes of driving range. Dublin is near, you have good access to the north city by car, and you can opt for public transport to get to the city. Next stop is quite a distance, so you are better off with a car and park'n'ride. Two dogs on property, both very friendly and well behaved.
We had only one night in the Dublin area because of a change in our flight schedule. We decided to spend 12 hours at the Ashbourne House Hotel and we were very glad we did. There was a short and cheap bus ride to and from the airport to Ashbourne, or you can use Uber for around 50 euros.
The town of Ashbourne is quiet and clean and the hotel is very nice. The food in the restaurant and the service in the bar are both excellent. We recommend this hotel highly.
The best self catering accommodation we have ever stayed in. Bridget was wonderful, the house had everything you could possibly need and more. Lovley welcome basket of fresh produce, include free range eggs from their own hens. We were going to tayto park and it was just a 5 minute drive away. We will definitely be back and i will recommend this place to all my family and friends as it is ideal for family get aways and much better than a hotel.
Huge and both comfortable bed/pillow in a large room. The room has everything I needed and more: microwaves, a bread toaster, a small fridge, a kettle with tea/coffee and a large TV. The size of my shower was amazing. Parking space and continental breakfast are free. The best was the support from the staff woman (sorry, I do not know her name), willing to help further than expected. There is a bus stop in front of this hotel.
We wanted to spend one night outside of Dublin, and this was a perfect nearby destination. Ashbourne was advertised as a B & B, but it is more of a hotel, which was a pleasant surprise. Staff was always helpful and cheerful. We had a very nice dinner at the attached restaurant and bar, and the bartender was great fun. We even stayed for the live music.
The owner and staff were friendly, accommodating, and helpful. We caught the bus into Dublin from right out front on the recommendation of the owner. Turned out to be much better than taking the car. He also recommended some good pubs and restaurants in town.
We used hotel while we attened a wedding near by. Room was fantastic and clean. Staff and front desk super helpful and friendly. The lady doing the breakfasts was beyond helpful and it was delicious!
Friendly helpful staff. Great location in the centre of Ashbourne. Very good breakfast. Value for money. Great bar atmosphere. Would recommend the hotel to friends.
Great location, 10 mins from tayto park and 15 min walk into Ashbourne town. Comfy bed. I liked the secure car park and quiet country lane location. Friendly staff
