Super cute cottage! Loved the privacy. The room was spacious, and the bathroom was nice. It was the only hotel we stayed at during our two-week trip that had a fridge in the room, which was great for our road trip groceries.

Beautiful views of the sea, especially sunrise. Great mountain views. It was uncharacteristically cold and windy so no hiking but trails exist. Easy access to the national park with black beaches, lighthouses, lava tubes and volcano views. Dinner and breakfast both great. Also recommend the Frista Food Truck in nearby Arnarstapi for amazing fish and chips and quesadillas. Good recommendations from reception for spots to stop at on the drive back to Reykjavik, including seals on the rocks at Ytri Tunga. We also found a lovely little forest to walk through further on at Hofsstaðaskógur.
