At the top of Adam's Peak it is quite cold and windy, you will be walking up and sweating. In order not to freeze at the top while you wait for dawn, I advise you to take extra dry clothes to change at the top (there is a toilet there), a windbreaker and a thermos with hot water. And don't forget the sunscreen, as soon as the sun comes out it won't spare you. This is an amazing place call mountain Malaya, where Guru Rinpoche gave Tantric Teachings in the Tibetan tradition for the first time on earth. And also the place of Dakinis. Glad that you will be there. Make a wish for the benefit of all sentient beings(you are one of them ;)) ! :)

There is a lake and Tea Gardens nearby. However you cannot visit either of them. You can only drive around and take in the views.
What is quite nice is to climb up the Adams' Peak. The climb is good for those who like climbing and hiking.

We got to the top of Adam's peak to find a locked gate- very disappointing, as we couldn't get a view of the other side of the mountain! Apparently it is only open in season and I think this should be changed

This is a site every visitor to Sri Lanka should travel to. Which has historical, cultural value, hiking experience very difficult to find on most other tourist destinations. Can complete in one day (one night booking). Just about 4 hours travel from the capital, Colombo. All year cold temperature.

It's amazing area to travel.
It's amazing area to travel. Specially adam's peak is the most enjoyable hiking mountain with sri lankan traditional activities. All can enjoy with the mountain view and the waterfalls. There are lots of hotels and restaurants in that area with relevant prices.
This is definitely the best place to stay in the area near Sri Pada! The location is just several minutes walk by feet to Adams Peak. The room was very clean, cosy and quiet with the beautiful view from balcony. The breakfasts were just so delicious! Huge portions of sri lankan cuisine, everything so tasty!! They even make own spice mixes! Every morning was something new. The owner and his family are super friendly and nice people. I am dreaming of coming back!
need to say they we had once of the best dinner so far in whole Sri Lanka, the owner and chef in one person is super nice, we had a nice chit-chatting :) the place has a lovely common dining place, with a nice view into the garden. Rooms are old but fully equipped, good location if you want to go at Adam´s peak. It was our second time in Nallathanniya, first time at Queensark, but for the future we will definetly come back here :)
One of the best places we stayed in Sri Lanka
Delicious food, cozy rooms with a cozy terrace, all the hosts are very helpful.
Normally people only go here to visit Adams peak and leave. We advise you to stay two days. Go do a round tour with the tuk tuk and enjoy the beautiful landscape. It's more beautiful then Ella, nuwara eliya, Kandy. The waterfalls and teafields are so amazing here! The rooftop terrace is also amazing!
Excellent hotel, wonderful family and staff, the location was serene and the scenary was spectacular. The room was perfect and very clean and the food was lovely for all meals. 10/10. So glad decided to stay right by the start of Adam's peak, so peaceful and wonderful stay. One of the best hotels we've been in in this price range in Sri Lanka. Felt clean and safe and well looked after
Perfect spot right next to the entrance of the Rock. Clean and spacious room close to the bus station and restaurants. The owner is very nice, gave me a great welcome and advice about the area and when coming back from the hike he and his mom prepared the best breakfast I've had so far in Sri Lanka. Fruits, bread, pancakes, eggs and so on. Great place to stay.

Lovely homestay located very close to Adams peak. The hosts are super helpful and will work around your schedule to produce delicious food - I think one of the tastiest rice and curries we have had in Sri Lanka!! The place is gorgeous and we had the upper room which had balconies on both sides to get all views!
The owner was really friendly kind and helpful. Lent us torches as we forgot ours and taught us a bit of Sinhala! The family were really lovely too. Perfect for a climb of Adam’s peak. The bathroom was the cleanest in all of Sri Lanka! The bed was comfortable and big too.
Very close proximity to the start of the trail and plenty of shops/stalls/restaurants nearby so you never have to go far to find anything you need. Staff were friendly, really delicious cooked breakfast on our return which was so welcome! For the price you can't go wrong.
if you’re doing Adam’s peak, the location is absolutely amazing. it’s right near the start of the pilgrimage. the owner, Terrance, is incredibly sweet. he makes the place feel like home. always super attentive and very informative about anything you need.
I have been there two times and it's one of the best hotels I have ever visited. The staff is amazing. They have very friendly and supportive staff. The view is stunning,Food was delicious and we had a really good time there,we'll definitely go there again.
Perfect stay to climb adams peak! the private rooms are comfortable and clean, the food is delicious and the owner is one of the nicest person we’ve met in Sri Lanka - giving us tips to climb, and answering to our questions for the rest of the trip!!
This is probably the best hotel in Nallathaniya. I chose it for the group of international travelers, and we liked it. The food was OK. Adam's peak was very near. The owner helped us to arrange tuktuks to go around tea plantations. Very nice place.
It is near to Adam's peak and you can park your vehicle there during your hike. Reasonable packages. Rooms are worth for the money but before stay please confirm from the entrance what are the includes with your packages !
convenient for Adams Peak hike. Close to the trail. Very nice staff. Nice views, good breakfast. Prepare snack box for the hike and advise me the right timing. Rooms simple but OK for the price.
They didn't supply meals at all. Location of the place is ok. But rooms are in 2nd floor and very difficult to reach there.Because of the very narrow stair case and no hand railing to spport .
Great location, super view. A bit further from the starting point of Sri Pada hike but more quiet.
Spacious room, warm water😀 which in Sri Lanka isn’t given. Nice staff. Good food.
