good localization near Amsterdam, good breakfast, cofee machine available 24 h, nice personel, everything was good
Unfortunately we found Zaandam very run down. When we visited the centre square and there was broken glass and plastic beer cups strewn all over the floor, it was awful. Food was very pricy and not good quality in the centre square. Safe to say we will not be visiting again.

A nice area, clean and well kept.
A nice area, clean and well kept. Easy transport links into the city and to other nearby towns.
Enjoyed a visit to the windmill area, which was a cultural experience, lots to do.
Found eating a task, only because we wanted more traditional, national food, which we found hard to come by.

The Russian Tzar House is a must visit.
The Russian Tzar House is a must visit. It is the oldest house in Netherlands, preserved in very good conditions. You will learn a lot. The Zaan Museum also. The Zaanse Schans it is for one whole day or two days visit. A lot of museums. It is very nice. And if it is good wind you are going to smell only chocolate in the air. The bakery just in front of the bridge is having the most delicious patisserie. The restaurants around have great food, nice personnel.

I stayed in Zaandam to get out of the tourist hustle and bustle of Amsterdam. I liked it's proximity to the train connections which were close by and easy to use. It was nice to see another part of Amsterdam. The shopping areas and cafes / restaurants in Zaandam were really good.
I stayed for 6 nights with my family of 2 kids. The cottage has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, full equipped kitchen, living room with TV and audio. Demian and Agata live next door, easy to get connected in case needed. My kids are big fan of the cottage. Location wise is very good, 2 stops away from Amsterdam Centraal by Intercity or Sprinter. Zaandam itself is a very good neighbourhood to bring kids. Close to Dekamart, Albert Heijn and Zaandam city center. Our stay in Holland has been memorable!
Staff were so lovely and lent us a European plug for a week when we forgot ours - the room was really clean and quite modern, and the cleaners did an amazing job with cleaning the rooms. In terms of location, there was a regular bus to the centre of Zaandam/train station, every 25 mins or so which took around 15 mins to get to the station. Was easy to travel to Amsterdam/across the Netherlands. Really good value for money and better than staying in Amsterdam in our opinion!
Beautiful views of the windmills from your bedroom. Comfortable beds, nice updated bathrooms. Quaint dining room/living space where you get your breakfast and beautiful courtyards on the water. Easy walking distance to shopping, restaurants and market. The host was beyond friendly! So quiet and peaceful, truly the most amazing and unique experience. A way better option than staying in the city plus the train station is only a 15 min walk.
We were really early and couldn't check in yet but the hotel kept our luggage stored whilst we went to central Amsterdam. The Hotel is easy to find when you get off the train, it's close to central Amsterdam which is what we were there to see. Really clean, the 4 bed family room is a mezzanine and it was great. Beds comfy, perfect room for 4 friends to share. Kettle and a variety of teas/coffee too.
Location is in the center, nearby to Zaandam station so it was easy to go around. The room is clean, small but it’s fine. Has a great view in the window, you see half of the zaanzam area😊. It’s also near to the super market albert heijn. Has a plug-in near the bed, so convenient while charging and using the phone. Lightning in the room was great as well so it was a good stay.
The location is great, being close to the train station means you can get quickly to the city center, to the airport, etc. It's far from the city center and the overpriced and tiny accomodations there. But shopping centers and restaurants are also close by in Zaandamm. The bed was soft, the room was big, parking was available if you're by car.
The room was well-decorated and furnished, with comfortable beds. The location was great, within 5-min walking distance from the Zaandam railway station. It was quick and easy to get to Amsterdam and Zaanse Schans. Besides, we were allowed to deposit our luggage at the reception for free!
The staff was very kind and professional. The location was awesome. There were a lot of bars and restaurants nearby that we could walk to. The train station was our main use of transportation and it helped that it was close to the hotel especially after a long day of walking.
Hi all. This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel) The hotel is very clean, warm and cozy, in the center of Zaandam, 7 minutes by train to the center of Amsterdam) The staff is the best, friendly, pleasant, especially the girl Ella Sharafi) I rate the hotel 10/10)
The hotel was very affordable and is central to the zaandam train station which has great connections to central amsterdam. There is loads of shops and resturants and cafes around. The building feels quite safe and they have luggage storage options. Staff are also helpful.
Much cheaper alternative than staying in Amsterdam, Zaandam is quite a nice town and only 2 stops on the train from central Amsterdam. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was very nice. Hotel is next to some nice cafes and restaurants and a nice shopping centre.
The fact that it was about a two minute walk to the Zaandam Central station was a plus. The surrounding area had options of different restaurants to choose from. I will definitely be staying at this location again.
