We visited Rockport in early April and it was pretty quiet, there was no issue getting a table in any of the places we visited. The beach is a 5 min drive from the Pigeon House and is a beautiful clean sandy beach. From there we wandered into Rockport and easily found a great coffee shop and ice cream place, and a handful of shops. All the locals were super friendly and welcoming. There is an HEB store just across the highway from the Pigeon House which was very convenient for stocking up on groceries.

Beautiful little town with a resort feel.
Beautiful little town with a resort feel. Driving about is easy using the bay front drive and business 35. Lots of cutesy shops in the art district. Travel a short distance to Lamar for a classic beer joint with fabulous burgers called Pop’s place . While there drive to “The Big Tree” and check out the Whooping cranes. We saw 15 standing in a field by Lamar beach road.

The kitchenette was very nice & clean.
The kitchenette was very nice & clean. Refrigerator & stove was sparkling as well as the toilet & shower. The bed was comfortable and the mattress pad, sheets & blankets were very clean! They even provide a washer & dryer for your convenience! The TV was a bit of a problem but I think that’s only because we aren’t familiar with Roku TV. Especially loved the fact that our fur babies were welcome & that there was no additional charges for them! ONLY complaint was the road noise in the first cottage. Will definitely return!!

We came to Rockport for the annual Rockport Sea Fair, this is our 4th year attending it. There is a great selection of music from country to cajun; we came to attend the Bellamy Brothers concert Friday night. There are many choices of food as well as booths selling various kinds of merchandise. We had planned to do some fishing for reds but it was too windy this time. Definitely would recommend a visit to Rockport. Pier 77 is a great place to eat, just be prepared for large plates of food, we could easily have shared a plate. Paradise Key is our favorite restaurant by far. The Boiling Pot has a great cajun boil which is especially nice in cooler weather. Main street Rockport has a nice selection of shops.

The apparrtment we booked was within walking distance of rockport pier and beach. It was a 5-10 min drive to a large number of takeaways, laundrettes, gas stations, supermarkets and walmart.
Rockport has some nice beaches, piers, wildlife sanctuarys and a lot of saltware fishing. Its very tourist friendly and relaxed.
We loved staying at the Pigeon House Upper Floor in Rockport. Greg and Lupe were great communicators and went out of their way to make everything perfect for us. The accommodation was beautifully furnished, spacious and spotlessly clean. We had great views over the water and enjoyed watching a variety of birds. Yarbaritas next door was a great plus- happy hour cocktails were great and the staff were very friendly. The Pigeon House exceeded our expectations.
Very easy check in and out. Beds are comfortable. Little extras for guests to use is very smart and thoughtful. I've been fishing in Rockport since I was a kid and I'm in my 50's now. Location and private pier is awesome for fishing 24/7. Amenities are great. Perfect for spur of the moment or planned longer stays. We only stayed 2 nights but would love to stay longer if the fragrance issue is addressed.
Our time at this place was awesome. It was super clean and big. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook, which was great since we had kids with us. The beds were comfy, and they left lots of towels and cleaning stuff. It was easy to get to Rockport and Port Aransas from here. Definitely recommend!
We loved the garden area, it was well kept and clean. The parking was convenient and the hotel room was clean and comfortable. There was some construction when we were there but when you were inside the room you couldn’t hear it. We will be staying again when we travel to Rockport!!
We love this place!! This was the 2nd time that my family has stayed here and the next time we stay in rockport it will be here also! My husband loved that it has a pier for fishing and the room was a great size and clean!!
The location is great. Super close to everything. There is a private fishing pier and a bait stand nearby. It is not far from Rockport Beach. It is right next to Fulton Mansion. There are many restaurants nearby.
The hotel staff were polite and professional. The few booths just outside the dining area were a nice option for a bit of privacy and provided charging stations. There are ample parking spaces.
No creamer,no sugar.Took forever to get on internet,TV was difficult and staff hard to reach at times. It’s a decent hotel, just a lot of little details needed corrections. And staff friendly.
Overall, this is a good hotel. I found a few hairs in the room, which is the main reason the score is not high.
The staff - some are charming and some are very unpleasant.
The hotel and room were very clean. The size of the room and amenities were excellent. Staff was amazing at helping us find stores and restaurants to try.
Great location. Rockport's an ideal base to go birdwatching at Padre Island and Aransas Wildelife Refuge. The nearby Mexican restaurant was pretty good.
