The room was immaculate, its furnishings were all comfortable, the shower was hot and powerful, the tv was large with plenty of stations, and the view from the beachfront room was amazing. And all of that came with an excellent price, providing a superb value.
Even better, the folks there were wonderful. On check-in, the host (whose name I didn’t see) was both friendly and efficient, making the process quick and easy. And the next morning, Savannah at the front desk took plenty of time to share recommendations on things to see and do in the area, actually mapping a path for me to explore, the result of which was an amazing day of sight-seeing. Simply put, she went far beyond the norm for my expectations.
The hotel isn’t brand new, so that should be understood for those seeking only the newest. And the breakfast room was a bit tight, but also kept clean and well-stocked. Overall, though, it’s aging quite well, with a staff that makes it even more impressive.

We were a large group a families (10 rooms) in TC for a youth sports tournament in mid-February and Sugar Beach was perfect for our needs:
- Indoor pool is a good size, and they had plenty of towels
- Younger siblings liked the small arcade
- Small fridge in room was helpful
- Nice breakfast options... like the hotel, not super fancy... but good variety of options and good quality
- Morning run on the beach was great... quiet stretch of the beach
- Dairy Queen across the street was handy... and in the summer, proximity to Pirate's Cove (large large mini golf and other activities in warmer weather) across the street would be great.
- The staff was amazing... very helpful and patient with our young families. Paris in particular was AWESOME to work with... thanks so much Paris!
To be clear, like nearly all the hotels up in TC and especially those on the beach -- it is an older hotel and not high end luxury or anything... but for being directly on the beach and for other considerations listed above we highly recommend it.

Traverse City is beautiful. I always enjoy my stay.
Traverse City is beautiful. I always enjoy my stay. They have lots of lovely restaurants. My favorite breakfast spot is The Cottage and we’ve enjoyed dinner at Poppycocks, Sorellina, and Harrington’s. However, we always have a hard time finding late night food. The Traverse City Comedy Club was fun and the shows are inexpensive. I find it to be a very relaxing trip and we will definitely go back.

I was there because my father was in the hospital. While he was having surgery or sleeping I went around the town… so many cool bar, restaurants, cool coffee bars, shopping… we are going back in the summer for a get away weekend! I loved it!

Traverse City is a beautiful little northern Michigan town.
Traverse City is a beautiful little northern Michigan town. There are many great places to eat (our favorite was Mama Lu's, and we enjoyed 'date night' Wednesday at Poppycock's). There are many great shops along Front Street and plentiful parking. In addition, there are parks and lighthouses in the vicinity for variety. We traveled to TC during the winter holidays, but would love to come back in the summer to take advantage of the hiking trails and to thoroughly enjoy the beachers and water. People were very friendly. TC is on the expensive side, but nothing too much more expensive than any other little town or resort site in Michigan. There is a lot of focus on drinking (wineries, breweries), but there is so much more to do than that. If you do drink, however, you would find doing a winery tour a lot of fun.

Traverse City offers many wonderful views, restaurants and shops. I think it offers something for everyone. The view over the bay changes every season so it is worth extra visits to take advantage of the lovely scenery.
The room was very spacious, clean and nicely equipped. The staff at the front desk was super nice and gave us recommendations what to do while in Traverse City. The inn is only 5 minutes from Downtown TC by car. I recommend the Omlette Shoppe on E Front St for a nice brunch, which is also walkable from the Inn. We went there for my boyfriends birthday. The outside of the Inn is nicely decorated with pretty flowers and feels very well put together and homey.
What a great hotel! We booked it at a really good price, then they gave us a free upgrade to a room with a beach view. The room was spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable. They offered a variety of breakfast boxes to choose from for breakfast. The boxes were delivered to our room at the time we requested. It was great. You are outside of downtown Traverse City, but it is a short drive to get there. Would recommend this place to everyone!
Nicely updated older hotel. Staff was very pleasant and welcoming. As it was limited to individually wrapped items (due to COVID-19 pandemic), we did not try the breakfast. Hotel is about a 10-15 minute drive into downtown Traverse City. Great value and priced much lower than comparible accomodations. Would definitely stay at Seasons Inn again.
The hotel is okay and a kind of nice. But beside of having remodelling going on the rooms should be cleaned. We were told that in times of Covid19 they clean only every third day. It should be the opposite. But after we complained they gave us another room, wich was very nice. And the personell was very friendly. Thank you.
The staff was friendly check in was flawless. The liby is warm and Inviting. The coffee is surprisingly pretty good and available all day for free. Breakfast was pretty good .room had a view of the bay. Also Thstsa Pizza is right next door the best pizza in Traverse City.
I could see the lake from my room.. the room was clean and worked well for our visit. Staff was very friendly, continental breakfast was a nice touch . Location is near downtown area .. I would recommend
Cute motel, perfect for a night in traverse city! Walking distance to downtown, clean and comfortable hotel room, free breakfast was a great bonus! Very charming and affordable, will definitely return.
The location of the room and its proximity to the beach is phenomenal. The room was clean and the customer service was great. I plan to return soon and would recommend this hotel to family and friends.
Desk clerk checking us in was nice and helpful. Room clean. Fair room rate for the area. We could park right outside the room. And we had a door to the parking lot and into the hall of the hotel.
I like the location of the hotel and the view of the bay is really pretty. The facilities are nice and the restaurant is great. Its proximity to the downtown area makes it very convenient.
Didn’t come to this hotel for the beach being it was early April, Should have done better research on “Breakfast” Continental in a box not real appealing.
