On a month long trip to Sri Lanka, filled with beautiful places and accommodations - the Cottage holds a special place in my heart. We spent two amazing days here, and later in our trip we decided to go back for 5 more. From the kindness of the staff, the excellent hospitality, the pool that was somehow always the right temperature, the location in nature and all of the life that surrounds it - we had a perfect stay. The gentleman that cares for the plants, pool and grounds works all day making sure the place looks great and the pool is always clean. The chef makes great food, and the Sri Lankan breakfast was excellent. The location is a short bike ride from town, or if you have your own tuktuk as we did it’s about a 5 minute ride. It’s in the midst of the jungle. In our days there we had encounters with every type of bird in Sri Lanka. Monkeys of all varieties. Even Elephants. The near by lake, which you will drive by the signed path to, is a must at sunrise. Walking further down the road into the farmers fields (stay on the road, don’t walk on their crops) will yield incredible sunsets with peacocks calling in the background and a clear view of lions rock. Bungalows are simple, clean and comfortable. The staff went out of their way to ensure we had a great experience. We will most certainly return here in the future and highly recommend it to others. There is more to see in Sigiriya than you think, and a couple of days at the cottage is a great base to explore and relax. Mama, the local dog running around is very sweet. If you’re a dog loving traveler as I am - take care of her and show her some love. She’ll keep the monkeys off your tuktuk 😉

The room is even nicer than the photos. Great view from the room, and it's very clean and comfy. Our visit in Sri Lanka had a lot of power cut, but the hotel has generator, so no need to worry. Highly recommened.

The staff went all out to make sure my stay was very comfortable. They were great at helping out if we had any issues with transport and even came to fetch us at night when we lost our way. Simply loved the serene environment. A very safe place, so close to the Sigiriya rock. In fact, we would have loved to extend our stay but our schedule was not permitting.

Very nice place in the middle of nature. Lots of birds and animals to see. The staff were very attentive and breakfast was delicious every morning. Would highly recommend. Promot the manager cares greatly about the business and works very hard to create the perfect experience for his guests.

We had a very pleasant stay in this beautiful, well kept and very quiet villa! Nice rooms, tasteful breakfast and most of all sajith and his wife were very friendly and helpful with tipps and organisation. We enjoyed our stay very much and can absolutely recommend the Banda Eco Villa!

There's very little more I can say about enaya cottage that hasn't already been said in the reviews already, but suffice to say we had a wonderful two day stay here in Sigiriya. The property itself is very much hidden away after the main drag in Sigiriya, but that's only a good thing. The peace one experiences here is beyond compare, total relaxation. Our host was impeccable, a true gentlewoman who literally couldn't do enough for us. Both mornings we were up early (to scale Lion Rock and Pidurangaia) and for a hot air balloon trip out of Dambulla. Amazing Safari,They have their own jeep.Safari was so much fun and we saw many things.. In both instances, our host (I apologise for not recalling his name) was up before us, breakfast served on our patio. Nothing was too much trouble, and his smile only served to brighten our day. Big rooms, decent sized bathroom, and excellent breakfasts. What more does one need?
