You are surrounded by nature and a close drive to Te Arai Beach (where you can take surf lessons as well). We only stayed for one night but would have loved to stay longer. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. The place clean, sunny and the oerfect size for two ppl with baggage. We would definetly come back if we could! Very good prize for what is offered.

It would take me a whole day to list everything I liked about my stay but I’ll name the key players. Firstly, the hosts Peter and Sara were such welcoming and friendly people. As soon as I arrived they invited me to have dinner with them, and we finished off a lovely night in with a game of Rummikub. Secondly, the location is just stunning. Peter took me to see the dairy farm next door and even let me have a go milking the cows (not by hand haha), and after he took me on a hike up the local mountain which had a 360 degree view of the landscapes. Also an honourable mention goes to the tens of animals I met while staying there - my fave were Sara’s horses. It was the best way I could’ve kicked off my NZ trip. Thanks so much Peter and Sara for having me! I would recommend this place 100 times over.

Lovely cottage in the countryside, with all the amenities and facilities, a lot of attention to detail, nicely furnished and maintained. Good advice from the owners for any sort of activities in the area
