Quinta Vilar e Almarde offers rustic-style accommodation in Castelo de Paiva. Offering a terrace and views of the mountain, Candeias do Souto is located in Bragança in the Norte Region, 9 km from Braganca Castle. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. Very nice renovated 200y old house, big rooms, clean, nice garden. A village of 27 persons :).

First of all, the staff was very kind. We arrived later in the evening and we stayed there only one night. The receptionist said since we arrived late and couldn't enjoy the possibilities of the quinta, after check-out we can still come back to try the pool or eat a dinner in their restaurant. That felt like a very nice gesture. The quinta itself was really beautiful, the view from our room was perfect the windows looked to the river! The design was amazing, too. Tim's terrace had a great tapas and the breakfast was also amazing!

Overlooking the scenic Douro River Valley, Quinta da Casa Cimeira, Guest House, Wines & Food is set in a historic country house and surrounded by a garden and vineyards. The place is fantastic, better than we expected! Great staff and warm welcoming, they service us their homemade excellent port when we arrived. The room is very spacious and charming with elegant antique furnitures, great atmosphere! The dinner was amazing! Great food and wine, they were very kind to serve us with another pre-drink of port, lots of great red wine during the dinner and with a 40years port after dinner. Breakfast is also nice and fresh! Objekat Casa do Santo - Wine & Tourism je smešten u gradu Provesende, na 13 km od znamenitosti Natur Waterpark i 37 km od znamenitosti Muzej Doro, a u ponudi ima smeštaj sa besplatnim WiFi internetom,... Fabulous views over the Douro valley! The owner was very friendly and helpful. However note that the closest restaurant is 10 min away by car.

Extremely friendly family! The adult sons all spoke English well, so communication was good. They were all so proud of their Agroturismo and gave us a tour, telling a bit about their family history. We were served an appetizer soon after arrival, which included wine from their vineyard. We had a huge breakfast with a number of homemade specialties, in fact way more than we could eat!

Nuno is an outstanding host. He seems to have a special worldview. His place looks like a piece of heaven, he welcomed us with open arms, gave us recommendations around the village, allowed us to use all the facilities - unlimited pool, kitchen and public living room, check out until 2pm with an elaborate breakfast. He suggested us to stay even after checking out to use these facilities. The environment gives quality time with nature, we rested and enjoyed. Only one minor thing-the road to the place includes sharp descents with narrow road-alleys that only good drivers can manage. Thank you for the time in Paradise Nuno. We will definitely come back to stay.
