It was great all around! Beautiful view out the window, comfortable room, extra comfortable bed, great amenities! If it rained less I would have love to have rented a scooter. I love that they offered it in the lobby. It’s within walking distance of so many restaurants.

The best thing about Portland are the family members who live there; they are the reason for our visit.
We do enjoy going to many sites in Portland including the various gardens: Rose Garden, Chinese Garden, Japanese Garden, Pennisula Garden, Rhodendron Garden, and just walking around neighborhoods seeing the beautiful trees and plants. Powell's Bookstore is a must. We went to a Thorn's (women's Pro soccer team) game. It was exciting. There are many good food options in Portland. We like the zoo and of course there are many sites nearby to visit including a plethora of "falls" like Multinoma and Bridal Veil.
The beauty of the city is blighted by homeless camps which lead to much litter, etc.

Portland, you're a breath of fresh air, reminiscent of my beloved Calgary with your mellow pace of life. Yet, you offer a gentle winter, free from the icy grip that defines our seasons. Your embrace of the LGBTQ community and the effortless kindness of your residents have been a revelation, challenging the media's portrayal with a beautiful reality. A heartfelt shoutout to Moxy Portland Downtown for their uniquely fabulous vibe and warm hospitality. You've been the highlight of our journey. As we conclude our road trip across the US Pacific Northwest, it's clear—Portland, you're the perfect finale. 🌲✨

We enjoyed the area around our hotel, very much.
We enjoyed the area around our hotel, very much. It was the Northwest section of Portland. It was by Old Town and by China Town. It was also close to the waterway path, along the River. It felt safe. It felt up-lifting.

I enjoyed the city however do not recommend walking at night downtown. The Ghost tour was not worth the time however the restaurants and food trucks were amazing. Highly recommend Hawthorne Asylum Food Cart Pod and the Japanese Gardens.

Enjoyed the nature and greenery.
Enjoyed the nature and greenery. Went to Providence Park for Timbers soccer match and would highly recommend. I liked Washington Park with the Japanese Gardens and Rose Test Gardens. Liked walking around Powell's Books. Really enjoyed walking around NW District neighborhood, and eating at Sweet Bacon Cafe and Scottie's Pizza Parlor. Recommend staying at Inn at Northrup Station in NW District or the Tiny Digs Hotels in Kerns neighborhood in East Portland. Enjoyed Screen Door restaurant at East Portland. Trail Blazers Basketball game at Moda Center was fine.
There is a lot of homeless and possible drug use around downtown Pearl District. Never felt threatened or in danger but definitely need to be cautious.

I came up for the afternoon to look at an item I may purchase. Portland is a pretty area, but I did not take in any of the sites: no time to.
If you have to stay over night AVOID the
airport Shilo Inn!!
Packaged breakfast but freshly made every morning. Breakfast fairly good considering its covid time. Starbucks coffee bland and bad, needs more coffee in the brewer. The hotel is conveniently located a walking distance to shops and restaurants. The area is definitely cleaner and safer than staying in downtown Portland. I love the big rooms that has a seating area complete with a desk, fridge and microwave. The rooms are relatively clean and decor fairly up to date. I would stay here again but i just wish the walls are more soundproof.
Perfect location to explore Portland. Three of us stayed in one of their suites and we had plenty of space for everyone. Having a kitchenette was a huge bonus for us with Trader Joe's and a couple of other grocery stores near by which allowed us to prepare breakfast at the hotel. Another big bonus is the free parking as we rented a car and didn't have to worry about paying for parking. Overall this is the best deal you can get in Portland for the money.
Newly renovated with cute vintage touches. It was in a good location and we visited on the weekend, so there were no big issues with street parking. Easy access to things on East Burnside and a 10-minute walk across the bridge to downtown Portland. The hotel had a fun nordic themed restaurant, plus a rooftop bar which was nice when we wanted to lounge around the hotel during our free time. Staff was really kind, welcoming, and helpful.
Great downtown location. We are long time visitors at this old classic Portland hotel. But this was our first visit since the change of ownership. The rooms have been nicely updated. We went during an epic snow and ice storm as we had been without power at home for 4 days. There were many challenges for the staff posed by the storm and they did a great job holding things together and providing excellent hospitality.
Good location if you’re looking to get away from the busyness of Downtown/Pearl District but still close enough to get anywhere you’re looking to go. Everyone working was super nice and the space is just lovely. Very comfortable room with lots of snacks/drinks at the ready and room service for anything else you might want. Lovely little coffee shop for those morning cravings.
I got there a little before check-in time but they had a room and let me check in early. I like this hotel because it is close to the MAX station. I left my car at the hotel and took MAX downtown for dinner and a concert: no driving in town at night and easy connections to the middle of Portland.
The room was great.
I like the location set in a charming older neighborhood away from the bustle and violence across the river in downtown Portland.
I am a senior but rather enjoyed the clean and minimalist architecture and decor.
The desk staff persons were pleasant.
The spacious lobby was a refreshing alternative to most hotels.
I recently stayed at the Mark Spencer with a group of buddies and we had an absolute blast. This hotel is very centrally located in Portland's Pearl District with tons of great breweries and restaurants within the surrounding blocks. We all agreed we would stay again if we ever returned.
Everything! This hotel is so cute and located in the heart of downtown. The staff went over and above to accommodate us since we arrived early. They were all so friendly. We came downstairs in the evening to get a snack and had the best desserts! Thank you so much and we'll be back!
Great location in downtown Portland, and it’s close to cheap parking garages. The room was well laid out and comfortable, and being on the 20th floor we had a fantastic view. The bed and pillows were also very comfortable, so both of us slept really well.
Very nice retro style hotel on the edge of the Pearl District. Only a 15 minute walk to several great Portland neighbourhoods. Trolly goes by the front for rides to downtown, can’t beat this location.
Fantastic hotel. The staff were very nice and the location was great (in the best part of Portland in my view). The room was big and well equipped with 2 TVs, kitchen, cutlery, and coffee machine.
My wife and booked this hotel because we were in town for a Portland trail blazers game then we took the max downtown and explored and had a great breakfast at mothers bar and grill
Nice, stylish hotel in a good downtown location just a short walk from multiple transport options, including the MAX Red Line from the airport. Really friendly staff.
