This hotel is Germany’s oldest guesthouse and is located right in the Old Town of Freiburg in the beautiful area between the Schwabentor (Swabian gate) and the cathedral. Beautiful old property but very great location. Awesome restaurant that serves a great menu and very friendly staff.

Situated in the heart of Freiburg, the family-run Central Hotel offers comfortable rooms with free breakfast, and a cosy bar. The Münster (cathedral) and university are a 3-minute walk away. breakfast was just wonderful the service by the restaurantleader was wonderful

This historic, privately run hotel in Freiburg’s old quarter is located in the heart of the pedestrian area, directly opposite the famous cathedral. It serves delicious regional cuisine. I have to say that this hotel has such an amazing character, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The staff is incredibly friendly and I felt as if I really was taken care of. I highly recommend this hotel, and would like to say that the staff is impeccable. Vielen Dank für einen tollen Aufenthalt.

The family-run Gasthaus Löwen is situated conveniently in the Old Town of Freiburg im Breisgau, 100 metres from the Freiburg Minster. Location is key. They are just right inside the old city and you can reach the most beautiful arquitecture just walking. The reception/Bar staff was Amazing and so kind. They made my staying there so much better. The girl who checked me in just did it at 9 pm because my train arrived late and they didn’t hesitate to show me my room and also explain to me about breakfast time and the facilities like the showers, etc. They knew that I would stay for the 1st of May and my train back to Paris would leave on May 2nd at 6 am and they just let my breakfast at the door to go( sandwich and coffee) since I wouldn’t be able to get breakfast at the hotel hours for my very early checkout. So Five stars to this amazing Staff.

Hotel & Restaurant Sichelschmiede is attractively situated in Freiburg im Breisgau, and has a restaurant, free WiFi and a bar. Full of character, comfortable, very friendly staff. We really enjoyed the restaurant too. Good location in the old town.

Cosy grey apartments features air-conditioned guest accommodation in the Freiburg Old Town of Freiburg im Breisgau, 500 m from Freiburg Cathedral, 3.8 km from Freiburg’s Exhibition and Conference... A modern apartment in the city center. I just spent two nights in this remarkable property. Initially, I was hesitant to book this apartment as there were some well-known hotels that were also offering similar room rateas. But I am really glad I chose to stay here. The apartment itself is really clean and modern. The owner must have paid a lot of attention to little details. Comfortable bedding and good kitchen appliances/ kitchenette (I loved its coffee machine). As a solo traveler, who is often lazy to go out at night, this was a perfect choice as it was so easy to get comfortable with readymade food in its spacious living area. The property is within a walking distance from the main train station as well as to many tourist attractions. There were a couple of nice cafeterias in the neighbourhood, and a bakery is just one doorstep away. Highly recommended. My tip: Bring your own slippers.
