Lo Charme dell'Hotel, la posizione ma più di ogni cosa la cordialità e disponibilità dello staff.! Il Sig. Matthias è stato gentilissimo ed amichevole, ci ha favorito con un upgrade dandoci una piccola suite deliziosa. La colazione nel ristorante antico preparata da sua moglie è stata ottima. Ci hanno anche regalato due bicchierini per souvenir. Tutto perfetto! Grazie ! ----- The charm of the hotel, the location but most of all the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff.! Mr. Matthias was very kind and friendly, he favored us with an upgrade by giving us a delightful small suite. The breakfast in the ancient restaurant prepared by his wife was excellent. Il Gasthaus Löwen, a conduzione familiare, è situato nel centro storico di Friburgo. 100 m dalla Cattedrale di Friburgo. Location is key. They are just right inside the old city and you can reach the most beautiful arquitecture just walking. The reception/Bar staff was Amazing and so kind. They made my staying there so much better. The girl who checked me in just did it at 9 pm because my train arrived late and they didn’t hesitate to show me my room and also explain to me about breakfast time and the facilities like the showers, etc. They knew that I would stay for the 1st of May and my train back to Paris would leave on May 2nd at 6 am and they just let my breakfast at the door to go( sandwich and coffee) since I wouldn’t be able to get breakfast at the hotel hours for my very early checkout. So Five stars to this amazing Staff.

I just spent two nights in this remarkable property. Initially, I was hesitant to book this apartment as there were some well-known hotels that were also offering similar room rateas. But I am really glad I chose to stay here. The apartment itself is really clean and modern. The owner must have paid a lot of attention to little details. Comfortable bedding and good kitchen appliances/ kitchenette (I loved its coffee machine). As a solo traveler, who is often lazy to go out at night, this was a perfect choice as it was so easy to get comfortable with readymade food in its spacious living area. The property is within a walking distance from the main train station as well as to many tourist attractions. There were a couple of nice cafeterias in the neighbourhood, and a bakery is just one doorstep away. Highly recommended. My tip: Bring your own slippers.
