The Fontenay Hamburg is a 5-star hotel situated on the shore of the Alster Lake in Hamburg, within walking distance of the famous shopping area at Jungfernstieg. For breakfast, the ability to make your own juice from a nice selection of fruits and vegetables. Room was exceptionally well lit (floor to ceiling windows). Location on the water could not be better. Staff was excellent, polite and professional.

Located in Hamburg, The hotel offers free Wi-Fi connection and paid on-site parking. It's a 15-minute walk from the city centre. The exhibition grounds are 700 metres away. I had a great short stay here, the room was cosy and clean, the bed was big and exceptionally comfortable. The hotel's team is very kind and helpful. I didn't take breakfast as I was having one in the cafes not far from the hotel, there is a mini-bar, i didn't use it either as I was doing my small shopping at the Dammtor station, but I think it is useful in case of emergency. I was also impressed by how good the plumbing facilities were although the space between the sink and the door is quite limited but it was not a dealbreaker for me. And for those who are easily disturbed by the sounds: well, it is not a modern building, so obviously you might hear your neighbour closing the door or people walking upstairs but honestly I cannot get how it can be dramatic. The street is very very quiet, there is hardly a car passing loudly next to the building and you can hear birds singing in the morning. It is quiet. Overall, cannot wait to come back and thank you for hosting ! Vielen dank !

This hotel in central Hamburg offers free Wi-Fi in all rooms. Hotel Fresena is near Dammtor Train Station, Hamburg's CCH Exhibition Centre and the Alster Lake. The location was ideal, in a very scenic neighborhood, only a few steps from a major U-Bahn station (Dammtor). The breakfast was lovely, with a range of options, all fresh and delicious. The staff was amazing! They helped with so many things, from arranging a taxi to the airport to providing a thread and needled to mend a garment. And they did so many special touches, such as providing a small kids lamp in the shape of a mushroom for our seven-year old daughter.

I've stayed several times at the Grand Elysee, and as usual everything was perfect, the staff is welcoming and helpful, the facilities are top, and the overall experience is great.

A very nice hotel, with a perfect location when traveling to Hamburg University Law Faculty, very clean, with very pleasant and helpful staff, and excellent value for money. Recommended for someone who needs to spend a night or two in Hamburg
