Housed in a converted prison from 1837, this atmospheric hotel is found on Katajanokka Island in central Helsinki. The hotel is charming - a tastefully converted prison! The room we had was perfect - everything worked! The hotel is perfectly situated for the Viking Line terminal and is right on the number 4 tram route which makes getting into the city centre very easy (although this is a very pleasant 15 minute walk if you don't want to use the tram). The breakfast offering is superb and the dinner menu is excellent with freshly cooked and well presented dishes. The staff are very welcoming and exceptionally helpful.

Scandic Grand Central Helsinki apresenta bicicletas gratuitas, centro de fitness, um jardim e salão partilhado em Helsínquia. The location is great. Very close to the Central Station, so really helpful if you need to catch a train with luggage. Also close to shops, restaurants and other facilities. The room is comfortable and quiet. I really enjoyed the breakfast. Lots of options and everything I tried was excellent.
