He took the time to show me nice tourist spots and his favorite restaurants on the city map. All the staff there spoke both French and English. The room was super clean and quiet at night. The breakfast here was offered in a buffet style and had plenty of dishes.

I only gave the stay and the staff a 10 because of all the good and friendly staff at the reception desk but there was only 1 male reception staff (early morning of May 11) who expressed that he was a little annoyed that we asked him to call the airport transfer taxi we booked who hadn't arrived on the scheduled time and he insisted the taxi was never late. In fact after he called the taxi said he would be late by 15 minutes. This is airport transfer so we thought it's not too much to ask to make sure the taxi is going to be there. It was not a big deal but the staff actually ruined the perfect stay we had earlier. The rest of the staff was so friendly and helpful.

Located 300 metres from Saint Jean Train Station and a 10-minute tram ride from the city centre, ibis Bordeaux Saint-Jean offers a bar and free WiFi in the hotel rooms. Perfect.. I chose this as it was close to the restaraunt La Turpina.. 10 min walk into town or just catch the tram outside the door.. Nice parking
