Le Funi Hotel is a charming hotel, set in a quiet area of Bergamo Alta. It is close to the historic centre of the medieval town. Excellent location: close to Colle Aperto bus station (direct line to/from the airport and train station. Also close to the major attractions in Citta Alta: Piazza Vecchia, Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore, Duomo, etc.) You can also easily reach the beautiful walking path along the Venetian Walls (Viale della Mura). Breakfast had a very good selection; you can order from a set menu which is on display. The Deluxe room was quite big with a wonderful view over the city, big bathroom and very comfortable bed. The staff is extremely kind and helpful and they make you feel very welcome. Grazie mille!

Gorgeous property. Incredible hospitality. The rooms were well appointed. The garden was beautiful. We got a tour of the downstairs area and it was incredibly historic. I absolutely adored this property and the sweet ladies who ran it. From check in, to check out, we were well taken care of. Breakfast was provided which we appreciated. From the train station if you take the number 1 bus to the funicular, head up, the hotel is a short walk from there. Oh and the bathroom in our room (number 4) was AMAZING. The views were viewing.

Excellent location at the heart of the old city. Apartment is safe and ideal for solo travellers. The view from the balcony is spectacular overlooking at some of the most famous sights. You can get anywhere in Citta Alta within minutes and the flat is only minutes away from the bus stops to Citta Bassa. Excellent place,clean,spacious,perfectly located.
