Set in Nishijin, Villa Front Kyoto Seimei ヴィラフロント京都晴明 offers accommodation with a flat-screen TV and a kitchen. A microwave and kettle are also featured. The room was amazing. Very close with the bus stop and Family Mart. The electric was completely. I recommend this place for everyone visiting.

We loved the quiet neighborhood, a little out of the way of the main touristy area, but not too far to walk to catch a quick taxi to those areas. It’s just a short walk to the Imperial Palace gardens, which are free and open to wander through, picnic in, or even jog or bike in (which my husband did). Our room was on the 3rd (top) floor, and, while there is no elevator, the staff brought our bags up and down, and we didn’t mind walking up the stairs at all. The room itself was LOVELY, and I very much enjoyed the bathtub! (Those with mobility issues might have a tricky time with the stairs and floor mats around the table in the room (no western-style table and chairs except at the desk in the room), but if that’s not a concern, it is a truly lovely oasis of calm! The staff all speak excellent English, and were very helpful in finding a great restaurant for dinner (including making reservations for us).

Regarding the price levels in Kyoto during peak season, this is a good deal. Modern hotel at an international standard. The hotel is close to one of the tourist bus lines that takes you to all the sights, the imperial palace and the castle are in walking distance. Just note that there are two Livemax hotels in this area, I went to the wrong one initially. Just stick to the address in the description and don't just search the name on Google maps like I did.

A quiet little escape from busy, tourist packed Kyoto, perfect for our four night stay in Kyoto end March. Very reasonably priced compared to many of the Kyoto hotels. We had house number 5, very spacious, big very comfy bed. We loved the little lounge area where they serve breakfast and a selection of drinks and snacks throughout the day. We had a hire car and parked in the car park almost opposite, very reasonably priced. Great base to then explore Kyoto. We did also utilise nearby stations to get around. You are not super close to the very popular tourist areas but all very accessible and it suited us to have a quieter escape as the city was very busy coming into peak blossom time. Toni the host was the the most friendly and cool dude I've met on my hostel adventures, he was great just to chat to but super helpful with advice and help with info about kyoto! The area is quiet which is nice and also close to everything you need.
