The hotel is a small boutique hotel located by Kamogawa river, close to subway and Eizan railway. The staff are very welcoming, friendly and always willing to help. I have been to Kyoto many times but staying at Riverte Kyoto Kamogawa had definitely made this trip even more enjoyable and comfortable. The hotel provides different local sweets and snacks everyday in the room so it’s always a surprise what I come back and find. The amenities in the room is well equipped with superb quality. I would highly recommend this hotel if you’re ever in Kyoto and wish to stay somewhere away from the busy downtown. Look forward to stay here again in the future. PS. Crosta deliver my luggage to the hotel since I arrived very early in the morning. Then it’s hassle free to wander around without dragging the luggage to the hotel before check-in time. We were super exhausted. I booked Garden River Suite but got a free upgrade to Executive River Suite and delicious afternoon tea treats. It was a super location close to all the sites we wanted to visit. Luxurious ambiance, new property, and great care for detail, service and cleaning. The concierge booked a fantastic Kaiseki for us- super attention, organization, and real love for their work. 🍾 🥂

Tadashi-san and Yuki-san were without question the best hosts we've had in a while. Their care and help were outstanding and the house itself was extremely clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. We felt at home for our nine nights, I will definitely be back if I have the chance!

Our favourite stay during our trip to Japan. The hosts were very welcoming and always happy to help us with our questions! I would recommend this guest house to anybody considering to visit Kyoto. It is located in a quiet neighbourhood, but not too far from some major tourist attractions. The hosts also suggested a walk around the neighbourhood with some lovely quiet/calm temples.
