Located in Okuhida Onsen Village among the Japanese Alps, Hodakaso Yamano Hotel features 7 public hot-spring baths and a fireplace lounge. Rooms offer beautiful mountain views and a private bathroom. Location spectacular. Outside onsen was beautiful with a snow covered mountain view. Food excellent and service wonderful . Highly recommend the full dinner.

Situated in a tranquil area in Gifu Region, a 52-minute drive away from JR Takayama Station, Mozumo boasts a hot-spring bath and rooms decorated with modern Japanese interior. We absolutely loved everything about Mozumo! We were two couples travelling together, we stayed for one night and had dinner all together in one of the rooms. The rooms were very beautiful, in traditional style, comfortable, quiet, and the private onsen was incredible. As for the dinner, one of the best we've ever had. And the staff was extremely polite and helpful. Thumbs up to the lady that was serving our dinner, she was so kind, made us feel so welcome and cared for our every need. Overall, it's a 200% recommended experience!

Situated in the Okuhida Onsen district in Takayama, 29 km from Hida Minzoku Mura Folk Village, Yunohirakan boasts air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. Free private parking is available on site. An excellent place to stay. Food was excellent and facilities were great. The private onsens was the main reason we decided to stay here. They had a small, medium and large private onsens on top of the public baths that were available. Very easy to access and the perfect getaway for myself and the wifey!

Offering free flowing spring water from two different hot springs and ski storage space, Oyado Eitaro is set in the Okuhida Onsen district in Takayama. Free private parking is available on site. One stop shop to get an introduction to top class Hida cuisine. From the A5 wagyu to the soba, everything was perfectly served. The room and onsen gave a very traditional Japanese feel and we enjoyed it very very much.

Set amid a beautiful landscape in Okuhida Onsengo hot-spring area, Yamazatonoiori Soene offers beautiful rooms in a Japanese style with river or garden views. We love and enjoyed open air Onsen with Riverview, it was fabulous, even the kids love it as well. Traditional Japanese-style Dinner and breakfast were amazing.

Located in the Okuhida Fukuji hot-spring area, Furusato offers accommodations with tatami (woven-straw) floors. Guests can enjoy the public indoor/outdoor hot-spring baths. This Ryokan was so charming and gave off such wonderful traditional vibes. Our room was surprisingly spacious and fit 3 of us no problem. The onsen was beautiful and we were lucky enough to have it to ourselves during our stay. The staff was so kind and the traditional breakfast was the best I've had in my travels so far. I highly recommend this ryokan.

Located in the Okuhida hot-spring area, guests at Katsuragi no Sato stay in spacious Japanese-style cottages with free Wi-Fi, tatami (woven-straw) floors and a traditional Irori hearth. Amazing time!! Was Hesitant because we’re normally in the budget range for hotels but this was absolutely worth every penny. You feel so so cared for and they really do go above and beyond to make your time as special as possible. The food was excellent, all kinds of courses and full by the end. Beautiful traditional building inside and out. The private onsen whilst snowing was one of the most special experiences of our lives

Located in the deep green mountains of the Fukuchi Onsen hot-spring area, Yumoto Cyouza offers a hot-spring experience with traditional Kaiseki dining and free Wi-Fi throughout. Place was amazing, food was amazing and staff was amazing! The private onsens were also fab, and we never really had to wait to use any of the ones available. We didn't use the public ones. The area was a bit far away from anything within walking distance (i.e. The closest town etc) but it is the probably the price to pay to stay in such an amazing and scenic location!
