Located in Funchal, within 600 metres of Gorgulho - Gavinas Beach and 2.9 km of Formosa Beach, Vila Vicência provides accommodation with a bar and free WiFi. Great location and staff, they are super friendly! If we come back to Funchal, we definitely are staying there again!

Set within extensive gardens of various subtropical trees and a banana plantation, Quinta da Casa Branca features a boutique hotel and an elegant manor house and offers a heated pool and rooms with... The Quinta da Casa Branca is an absolutely extraordinary hotel consisting of a gorgeous manor house and brilliantly designed and constructed modern buildings with luxurious rooms. The grounds are as beautiful as any I have seen in a Portuguese hotel, and we particularly admired the variety of flora, as well as the informative markers describing the plants and their provenance. The swimming pools, while small, are elegant and serene, and the breakfast is sumptuous. We had dinner one night at the Michelin-rated Dining Room restaurant, where the food and service were absolutely top-notch. And the staff could not have been more helpful. They arranged a brilliant hiking tour of the Levada das 25 Fontes (a must!) and answered all of our requests for information and advice warmly and intelligently. This is a tremendous hotel. I can't imagine a nicer place to stay in busy Funchal!

Ypperlig beliggenhet helt ved havet, stort flott rom, vennlig og serviceorientert betjening, rent og skikkelig over alt. God frokost, lettvint adgang til fint badeområde. Nært til bybuss med relativt hyppige avganger. Flere supermarkeder og mange ok spisesteder i nabolaget. Drar gjerne tilbake til dette hotellet.

Golden Residence Hotel tilbyr panoramautsikt over Praia Formosa, Madeiras største rullesteinstrand, og har utendørsbasseng, velværesenter og moderne rom med egen balkong. The location was very close to the beach which was great fun, the breakfast buffet was splendid and the kids really loved it. View from the room was great and the indoor pool was good for relaxing and swimming.
