We booked this last minute on Booking.com and I was worried it was a B&B but it was a lovely boutique hotel in the heart of the town. The breakfast was healthy and fun served on colourful Fiesta Ware. The room was immaculate, spacious and charming. The staff was helpful during our stay and then went above and beyond by shipping items back to me that I left in drawer. I cannot praise Merritt House enough!

Room was very clean, spacious and comfortable! staff were so friendly and helpful! We were only here for one night but would stay again if I was ever back in Monterey!

Very comfortable and clean room. The staff was also really nice! At the reception they have coffee and hot water for tea or cocoa and also a filtered water machine with cold water! Location is also very good!
