Located in the Northwest Portland district of Portland, Inn at Northrup Station is set 1.2 km from Pearl District and 1.5 km from International Rose Test Garden and Japanese Gardens. Superb in every way. Staff were polite and helpful. Decor was fascinating. Facilities were excellent, parking was free with free streetcar tickets to visit the city.

Excellent and efficient check in. We were given the choice of selecting a room on any floor... The NW District where the hotel is located is a nice area and has some great restaurants

Lovely setting and very well appointed property. Owners take care and make themselves available. Proximity to Forest Park is terrific and an enjoyable walk down the hill delivers you to many fun places to eat and explore.

I stay here every time I'm in Portland and I adore it. The rooms and facilities are great (quirky, super clean and lots of little nooks to work or relax in), excellent planned activities in the evenings (even folk music some nights!), and I think best of all, the staff are simply wonderful. Kind, helpful, just the best. The perfect mix of warm and professional. It's my home away from home whenever I'm in Portland. If you're a soccer fan it's also a must-stay. I was there during the women's world cup one time and the amazing staff turned the big screen tv on for me to watch the semi finals at 3am! I think they'd try their hardest to accommodate almost any request to have soccer matches played on their big screen. It's also really diversity-welcoming. Always a nice mix of folks of diverse backgrounds and ages. Also really queer-friendly (I'm lesbian and feel super welcome - I also really appreciate their big pride flag!). I travel a lot for work and I never feel out of place here as someone who isn't a typical backpacker- while there are back packers in their 20s enjoying the place, there are also families and other older folks (like me!) doing a bit of work on laptops. The vibe seems to always be an ideal mixture of lively yet relaxed/calm. Setting-wise, it's a great location. The hostel is in a leafy quiet suburb but close to the centre of town. Trader Joe's is just two blocks away and it's 15 min walk (maybe less?) to famous Powell's Books and the CBD. Also rose gardens and great thrift stores nearby. The Amtrak train station is an easy 15 min walk. A very clever move by the hostel owners is to have a cafe attached to the hostel that welcomes the public, so there's a real feeling that you're part of Portland community there (and locals also pop in for the folk music nights and children's music afternoons).

Great location, very clean and tidy. When our arrival time was pushed back to late evening after a long journey we could check in easily from comprehensive instructions given.

The apartment was just what my family needed after our transatlantic flight: two separated, comfy bedrooms, with a common living space. The location was ideal, and the facilities ideal.
