I travel frequently, LaPLaya is one of the cleanest and nicest motels I have stayed. It’s is immaculately clean, the staff are consistently friendly and helpful. I wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else when I come here. Perfect!!!

Excellent location near the beachfront. We loved the breakfast and how we were received by the hotel staff. We liked that we could get free bikes with the hotel for a ride around town. Fabulous hotel. Amazing location. Loved the linen and the beds! And the L’occitane toiletries! Only thing would have been nice to have complimentary bottle of water in the rooms!

We stayed for 3 nights in mid September 2023. The hotel was exactly as pictured when we booked. Light and airy and spotlessly clean. When we arrived we weren't sure about the location, as it's close to the 101 Freeway, but it turned out to be great as you can walk to most of the attractions in Santa Barbara. The staff were excellent. Really good communications about breakfast (which was excellent), housekeeping, night cover phone numbers and even a free glass of wine at happy hour. We stayed in room 9 and enjoyed the little balcony (big enough for 2) where we sat and watched the sun go down behind the mountains.
