This place, set amongst a coffee and plantain estate, is the brainchild of host Julian Restrepo, and is run mostly by his family, who are a warm and friendly bunch. His mother, Piedad, cooks all the delicious food and is much more flexible about eating times than other places I've been to. The restaurant is useful, since the place is a little off the beaten track.I got the last available accomodation on the last minute: a wooden cabin with superb views from the balcony. The double bed was very comfortable and the additional cushions were a useful detail. There is a bar run by Julian, and in the evenings everyone socialises together: staff, guests and locals, which adds to the friendly atmosphere, which winds down at midnight to allow guests the peace and quiet that they need to relax. I am so glad I went there. I can't rate this place too highly.

Set in Jericó, La Kolorina hotel campestre offers accommodation with barbecue facilities. All rooms feature a flat-screen TV with cable channels and a private bathroom. Lovely small family run business 3 min outside the town. Very kind people. The mom makes great arepas with eggs! Great relaxing garden and silent surroundings. The room was clean and well looked after. The bed was comfortable.
