There is enough to do: visit the local market, rent a canoe and paddle the lake, bike though the Ak Suu valley or take a taxi and walk to the lake(s). Definitely a great place to stay for a night or 2/3 to relax.

Exceptional nice place to stay on the shore of Issyk Kul, for ones who think staying there, short directions how to get there from Bishkek : take microbus from Bishkek western bus station to Bakanbaevo, leaves every 30 minutes and then short ride to the camp, the owner took us both ways, we enjoyed local dishes and even short folklore show during our dinner. All the appliances worked fine and the view of lake is just magical, thank you.
