Kemping Athgira River Camp usytuowany jest tuż obok Parku Narodowego Udawalawe, skąd roztacza się widok na rzekę Rakwana. The hotel was a great experience for us. We upgraded our room and got a tent with a patio with a view over the lake, and it was the best. The tent is very nice and clean, the bathroom is big and clean, and the staff is very kind and helpful with everything. We had drinks and lunch on the patio, while looking at birds and monkeys in the trees over the river (tip: bring some binoculars. We used ours alot looking at many different birds). The food is very good and the surroundings while eating are so nice. We booked our safari tour through the hotel, on booking.com, and when we asked the staff what time was best to go they said at 5.30 in the morning. And they were very correct. We had a jeep to ourselves. Our safari driver was so fun, nice and very observant. He was fast at driving (but still careful) and running (into the ticket office), so we were the very first to enter the park and within 10 seconds we saw two pregnant elephants and a wild boar with babies! We had around 5-10 minutes with them alone before a few other cars came, and it was a great experience. Our driver took us places where there were no other cars to see elephants, crocodiles, tucan birds, deers and many more animals. We felt like we were completely alone in the park. He could tell us many facts about animals and was very eager to show us how beautiful the park was. He also made sure that we felt that we had seen enough and satisfied with the tour, and we really were. This experience is something we will never forget, and the hotel and safari is definitely something we want to come back to.

Bardzo ciekawe doświadczenie. Duży namiot, dobrze urządzony i wyposażony (choć nie był pierwszej świeżości) Było to ekscytujące doświadczać jak natura wdziera się do namiotu. Wspaniale było spać przy wszystkich egzotycznych dźwiękach. Nasz namiot był na uboczu co tylko dodawało uroku. Świetny klimat rozpalonego ogniska i pochodni podczas kolacji. Jedzenie ok. Spacer na zachód słońca i spacer nocny były super przeżyciem. Śniadanie bardzo dobre. Super miła obsługa.
