Clean and well equipped facilities, warm cottage and friendly staff. The morning sun is really beautiful there. Superb activities for children as well - games, trampoline etc. and nice beach. Quite big place yet still peaceful as long as you do not mind a group of happy kids playing around here and there

It was so cozy and had a home away from home feeling. The card games, reading material, and coloring crayons for the kids were a wonderful touch! Everything was very clean and the beds were comfortable. We received a message just before check in telling us about a delicious cafe just down the road. Absolutely would recommend this place!

Bolkesjø Gaard ligger i Notodden i en historisk bygning, 26 km fra Heddals stavkirke. Det er et nyrenoveret feriehus med privat strandområde og have. We stayed in Stulen. We can imagine that this accommodation is not for everyone: no running water, limited electricity (solar panels charge a battery to light a few lamps), no bathroom, outside toilet. But a lot of privacy, beautiful view, cosily decorated and still everything is there to make it a pleasant stay. And above all: a very sympathetic hostess/host.
