A recently renovated campground located in Bidiyah, Al Salam Desert Camp Bidiya features a shared lounge. Featuring full-day security, this property also welcomes guests with a restaurant and a sun terrace. The campground also provides free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. The experience in camp was awesome. Location can be found from google map, nice room and facilities, room rate inclusive of dinner and breakfast, hotel provide additional program, e.g. sunset tour, camel tour, etc at extra fee (so your trip is not too boring). One thing to point is the staff are super helpful and friendly which are one of the most important factor for vacation.

As an added convenience, the luxury tent offers packed lunches for guests to bring on excursions and other trips off-property. I think Said (the host) is one of the friendliest Omani I met during my trip. He is so kind and generous. It wasn't a busy day and I was the only guest that day, but we drove around in the dessert, meet some local Bedouin people and had a great BBQ and at the end of the day we shut down all the lights in the camp and looked at the stars. Had a wondefull time!

For visitors looking to embark on day trips to nearby landmarks, the luxury tent provides a selection of packed lunches. We had an excellent stay at Nomadic Desert Camp in December. The hosts are very welcoming and it is such a great experience to spend one night in the desert. We did a sunset camel ride and sunrise 4x4 safari and both were amazing! The huts are nice and comfortable, shared toilets & shower clean, and the food was excellent. The whole camp is set up in a lovely way - keeping in touch with the nature.

The area is popular for walking tours, and car hire is available at the luxury tent. Choosing a place to stay in the desert can be overwhelming as there are just so many options. We chose Hamood’s desert camp after hours of research, and simply put, we can’t imagine staying anywhere else. From the minute we met Hamood at the meeting point, he truly made us feel like part of his family. He is a natural host: extremely welcoming, funny, and kind. We stayed two nights (highly recommend) in this beautiful camp. There are only four total tents in the camp, as compared to some of the larger camps with dozens and dozens. The smaller camp made it so much more of an intimate experience. The food was homemade and delicious. Hamood built a campfire each night after dinner and we sat under the stars, enjoying the company and learning about Omani culture. All in all, if you are visiting the desert you must stay here! You won’t be disappointed.

Located 50 km from Wadi Bin Khalid, SAFARI-Glamping offers accommodation in Bidiyah-20 kms inside the desert from the village Al Hawaiyah. SAFARI-Glamping offers two private tents and 2 huts between the dunes in Sharqiyah sands. Our experience at Safari Glamping was really amazing. We tried a lot of delicious traditional food, rented quad bike from a nearby camp, which is owned by the same person, and he invited us for a dinner at this bigger camp, where we had the opportunity to speak with him about his life as a beduin. The host in our camp was really nice and helpful, prepared fire and a really good food for us and as we were lucky to be alone there, we had a chance to speak with him. The room was really clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. We drove to the camp by our 4WD car and it was simple and without any problem. You just need to have your tires deflated beforehand. 100% recommended experience worth the money.

You can play darts at the luxury tent. Alsarmadi Desert Camp has a children's playground and a picnic area. Very nice immersion in the Wahiba Sands desert. The host was extremely careful of the wellbeing of his guests. Willingness to share some of the beduins traditions in a single night.
