"Casa de la Y" is a traditional Paraguayan home in Encarnación run by mother and daughter: Yolanda (la Y) and Carol. The name Y's house was coined by Yolanda's grandchildren who, beginning to say their first words found it easier to keep syllables to a minimum and stick to initials. To this day "Y" still goes by the name "Y". Y's homely guest house is located in a quiet and secure residential neighborhood, perfectly located for visiting the city's major attractions.
