Relax with friends or family in a lakeside cottage with access to sauna. There is a comfortable bedroom, a kitchen and living room in one with two sofas that are converted into single beds in the evening, as well as a toilet with sink. There is an outdoor shower with water from the lake. The studio is only 5 min by car from Läggesta train station where you can catch a train to Stockholm in 40 min. Mariefred is located 4 km from the house.

We're a family of three who moved from Stockholm into a beautiful house close to wonderful Mariefred. Tine is from Norway and Ronny from Södertälje and together we enjoy going for walks, explore new places, visit the fantastic archipelago, rent a cabin for the weekend or to go hiking. When we have time we spend most of our savings travelling, preferably a city weekend in Europe, or a longer journey to the US. Our best travel memory so far must be 4 weeks along Route 66, from New York to San Fransisco, but we've even discovered Africa, got married at Zanzibar and went on a cruise in the Caribbien. We prefer to be quite flexible on our travels, we are relaxed and laid back without high preferences on comfort. We have both backpacked in different parts of the world, and who we meet are much more important to us than how we travel. If we are at home when you arrive we will show you around. This area is a welcoming charming part of Sörmland, in the countryside, but still close to the city. Most of the people living here go to work in Stockholm. If you arrive in summer we recommend to catch the steam train from Läggesta to Taxinge and enjoy a buffet of cakes in the castle. You can even catch the steam boat to Stockholm, a very nice trip where you get to see the surroundings from the water. Make sure to visit Gripsholm Castle in Mariefred and the restaurant close by. Easy access from Läggesta train station, a 20 minutes walk to the house. Closest grocery shop, cafe's and restaurants you will find 4 km away, in Mariefred. We recommend to have a car in order to get around since this is the countryside and public transport is not very reliable. There is free parkering available.
