They were always ready to help with explanations, umbrellas or extra pillows, and friendly greetings. They also dealt efficiently with receiving and sending our luggage to Tokyo. Amenities include a very useful laundry room; a free hot/cold drinks machine and a small kitchen in the lobby; and a terrace with chairs on the top floor. Location is good too (half an hour's walk from Kyoto train station, but close to Gion and Kiyomizu-dera temple).
