Really nice little hotel with your own little cabin. Room is clean and tidy, bed is confortable. Incredible wildlife all around with monkeys and squirrels jumping on the roof. The family that own the hotel is really nice and always happy to help you. The food was the best we had around Sri Lanka. You should really try the dinner ! We can only recommand.

I would not like to share this cool secret place with anyone, but the owner asked me to leave a review. A wonderful family of very kind people lives here. Therefore, I would not like people with an exclusively consumer attitude to come here, but let's hope that the one who reads this review is not a bad person. The place is located far from the main intersections, in the wilderness of the village, respectively, there are no tourist touts, and heaps of pestering toukers, but just very quiet and beautiful. The houses are very cozy, well renovated, the rooms are bright, spacious and with high ceilings. The houses themselves are in the shade of tall various trees: mangoes, coconuts, jackfruits, lemons and tangerines also grow, and everything else. Small monkeys sometimes walk through the trees, but they are cultured and timid, small water lizards live in the stream. In the lowlands near the houses there is a streamlet. There is a small clean river at the back of the plot. Simple small shops with fruits and household needs are within walking distance here. If you need to get to Cargills or to the Wine shop, then the owner is always ready to let you down if he is free, you can also order a PickMe, of course, I myself sometimes went by bus for 60 rupees. I have eaten a lot of places in Sri Lanka, but without hypocrisy I can say that the hostess here cooks perfectly. The food is always fresh, the portions for one are even excessively large. Here they can really cook European food normally, without any masala and not spicy. Fried or stewed chicken with a side dish and with a fresh vegetable salad was always served to me here, if I had asked, they would have served beef (well, I think you know that it's a little inappropriate in Sri). It is undoubtedly better to take food from the owners, because for this money in the cafes of Udavalava, you will not find such quality. Wi-Fi is stable, the connection is fiber-optic.

Very friendly owner who helped us with everything. A beautiful lodge built by the river in an unbelievably beautiful setting. Delicious food (breakfast, lunch, dinner). They arranged a very nice safari at a reasonable price. clean room The most important thing is that the hotel was built by the owner Asanka himself. For that, lakhs of stones from the river have been used and this is an amazing design. Definitely recommend!!

The owner is amazing, he helped us with everything we needed and arranged a great safari for us. Amazing lodge built by the owner himself next to a beautiful river. A special type of stone from the river was used to build it and the video footage of its creation is amazing. Will definitely recommend

The lodge offers a truly magnificent experience, a bird paradise with a tranquil setting overlooking the river and perfect for relaxation. Rooms were very clean and dinner was divine hand cooked by Asanka's wife. Moreover, the safari trip offered by the hosts is highly recommended. Many people come to relax with children and the favorite spot for all is the beautiful river in front of the rooms.

Brand new little and so beautiful lodges in a garden full of palm and banana trees. A balcony out of wood and a hammock to relax in the garden. The room has a mosquito net and the shower is a waterfall. Such a nice host, good communication, good food and service. He organized a safari with a skilled, nice and friendly driver. He took care of the tickets and everything, great al inclusive package . We saw so many beautiful animals and they even arranged a breakfast for us at a nice place in the national park.

The lodges were spacious and stylish and the outside bathroom is a fabulous feature. Pool is lovely. Very peaceful environment. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was very good both in the evening and for breakfast. We did an early morning safari one day and the breakfast provided for that was really good. Also, our guide, Gayan, did a fantastic job during the safari.

Wonderful place to stay prior to safari. The lodges are cute and great and the pool area is fantastic. The area in itself is not as touristy as some other areas in Sri Lanka and that reflects restaurant, the personnel, etc. However, everyone did the best they could and the food and drinks were completely fine. The safari they arranged was excellent.

Beautiful spacious safari lodges with a refreshing pool. We did the safari and it was amazing - we saw so many animals and learnt so much. We'd recommend paying for one of the official park guides - it was cheap and he was so knowledgeable. Our driver was great too and in communication with other drivers to ensure we saw lots of wildlife. Lahiru was a great host and also let me use the kitchen which was appreciated.
