El Vanilla Hills Lodge ofrece bungalows amplios situados en la exuberante selva tropical a las afueras de San Ignacio. What a perfect stay. The staff are incredible, the place is amazing and we had everything we had such a lovely stay. Highlight was having a delicious (and copious) breakfast on our last day watching all of the animals coming to eat too. Including a coatimundi, hummingbirds, toucans, and many other amazing birds. The Pina colada la were also some of the best I've had !

Don't be shy to ask for pickup by the owner in a 4x4 if your vehicle can't make it on a rainy day. It is worth the effort. The lodges are superbly furnished.

This property is immaculate - the attention to detail is unlike anything I have previously experienced. The staff all introduced themselves to us upon arrival and not once did they forget our names, our likes/dislikes in the restaurant or bar. It is private, quiet, surrounded by wildlife. The food is impeccable with lots of traditional dishes to choose from. Nothing was too much to ask - I cannot recommend this property more.

Location is top tier, we get to go the sleep and wake in the jungle. There are many trails around the camp where you can hike, go for a swim or just discover the ruins. Staff is friendly and helpful (Maddy drove me back to the bus stop), food was tasty, there is hot and drinking water, beds are comfortable ! I highly recommend you to stop at Lower Dover, you won’t regret it :)

The perfect place if you are looking for a quiet hideaway in the jungle.
