We were given a very warm welcome and were well looked after by Maykel and his family . He arranged a volcano guide and we ordered packed lunches which were perfect at the top of a long hike . It was really useful that we could rent Maykal’s scooter as we had taken a taxi from the port. With large backpacks renting motos at the port would not have been fesible for us. Having independent ( not taxi) transport is, I think important to have a relaxed tour of this beautiful island . The roads are quiet and generally very low speed so biking is easy and the main way people get around. We had a wonderful , large room and big bathroom with a shower. There was a terrace where we sat peacefully in the evenings watching and listening to monkeys and enjoying the sunset. The food is all cooked to ordered. We had excellent breakfasts and we ate in 2 out of 4 evenings. They ask that you order your meal in advance so it can be freshly prepared. We were really happy with the location. Close to a lake beach, but close using the moto to the best sandy beaches- Playa Mango and San Domingo. The WiFi was excellent . We were so pleased we chose The Jungle and highly recommend it.

Ryan and Angela were incredible hosts, with really helpful contacts and plans to spend a wonderful and efficient stay. La finca is a place that seems out of Disney with butterflies, birds, and even monkeys. The food is great. Go there without hesitation !

Finca Ometepe was the highlight of our visit to Isla Ometepe! We enjoyed the warm hospitality of our hosts, Hanna and Hakan, who welcomed us to their home, shared their food, showed us around the farm and made us feel at home!. It was a very special experience for all of us, we had never experienced something similar on our travels before. We picked organic greens for salad together, participated in milking the goats, searching for eggs, processing Cacao and Cafe grown on the farm, enjoyed making our own pizza in their clay oven, and baking the most delicious brownies from their cacao (and recipe!). The farm is beautiful and relaxed, the casita has comfortable beds, a well equipped kitchen and spacious outdoor dining area with hammocks to relax in. Breakfasts where homemade, yummy and varied, and on top of all of these, hauler monkeys visited nearby every morning!

Boasting a permaculture farm and exotic edible fruit forest, La Bambouseraie, is set in Balgue, within 16 km of Maderas Volcano. A balcony with garden views is offered in each unit. Absolutely fantastic, staff were lovely and very friendly, breakfast was great and had a different special every morning. The cabanas were very secluded and you really felt you were in the middle of jungle. We extended our stay and wished we could have stayed longer.

Offering an outdoor swimming pool and a restaurant, Totoco Eco-Project is located in Balgue. Free WiFi access is available in public areas of this lodge. we loved the location on the edge of the cloud forest. we loved listening to the howler monkeys and birds in the morning.. the large eating living space with open sides and palm tress roof was beautiful and perfect for our family of 3 generations. Great food, incredibly efficient we will be back

Ubytovanie Dragon's Garden sa nachádza v destinácii Santa Cruz 6,3 km od miesta Maderas Volcano a hostia majú prístup do záhrady s terasou. everything! it was a beautiful space, the bed was comfy, the staff were kind, the breakfast (at additional cost of a reasonable $5) was awesome, it was a great location, the “in nature” feel was perfect and the VIEW!! amazing

Providing garden views, Eco-Lodge El Porvenir. In Santa Cruz on the Maderas Volcano basement and offers accommodation and a garden. Free WiFi is provided. Some units have a terrace and/or patio. The location and atmosphere is very quiet and peaceful, a stunning place to watch the sunset. It is very handy to be able to rent a moto there as you will end this to get around.

Ubytovanie Finca Magdalena Eco Lodge sa nachádza 13 km od miesta Maderas Volcano. Hostia tu majú k dispozícii reštauráciu, vonkajší bazén, záhradu a terasu. I really loved my stay at Finca Magdalena. It is so peaceful and quiet there. The rooms are spacious and the view from the balcony just amazing. There are lovely hiking trails in the woods. The staff is friendly and helpful. I will certainly be back.
