Located in Mérida’s historic center, Hotel Paula Films Collection is 1312 feet from the Roman Forum and 820 feet from the train station. Breakfast (Desayuno) consisted of toast, fresh squeezed orange juice, and coffee. It was good, inexpensive (6 Euro per person), but minimal. Hotel was wonderfully decorated with movie scenes on all the walls. We purposely took the stairs to enjoy all the Disney characters.

The Parador is exceptional !!! The bar in the bodega and the wellness center with sauna, jacuzzi was a great surprise. The staff at the reception were very kind.

The bed was very comfortable, the airconditioning worked well (very necessary in Extremadura in mid-summer) and the bathroom was clean and very serviceable. It would have been nice to have an electric coffee machine, but there were many restaurants close by that served coffee and breakfast at very reasonable prices.

We fell in love with this chain of hotels “Hospedería de Extremadura” starting from this one located in Hervás :) Beautiful building (it was a convent and hospital), big room, huge parking, close to town and several trekking routes, helpful staff!
