The breakfasts were amazing and it’s really nice that you can avail of breakfast at any time of the day! The hotel was spotless and the sauna/ massage therapist was very good too. I could not fault anything in the hotel. The hotel is located only about 5 mins walk to main waterfront of Thessaloniki and there are lots of restaurants and bars nearby

The room was a very good size, great bathroom and kitchen. We very much appreciated the balcony we had access to for breakfast in the morning. The breakfast basket we were given was plentiful with a lot of variety. It was completely filling and delicious! The staff was very friendly and helpful with recommendations. We wish we stayed for more than the one night. Parking was great and instructions for directions to find the parking and hotel were perfect. Location was great for walking around in the old town and going up to see the castle, as well as accessing the waterfront.

We loved our time at The Modernist. For us, the best part was the staff. They were so friendly and kind, and helped us out with everything from calling restaurants to recommending a great place to get bougatsa. You felt like you were coming home every time you walked in the door. The room was lovely, the shower was divine, and the breakfast was wonderful. A perfect stay!
