Tortugal Boutique River Lodge halvøen ligger i Rio Dulce-floden nær et slot fra det 16. århundrede. Halvøen er badet af næsten konstant havbrise, hvilket giver et køligt og forfriskende sted. What did we like? All of it! The rooms are tastefully decorated. They were very comfy, despite being in the middle of nature. Attentive staff, picked us up to and fro Rio Dulce. Good food, cold beers. Very refreshing to be able to jump in the river when hot!

El Hotelito Perdido er et lille jungle-tilflugtssted beliggende midt i nationalparken Rio Dulce. This was genuinely the highlight of my 3 weeks in Guatemala. Stunning location, the staff were an absolute pleasure to deal with and the owners were so warm and friendly. Couldn't advise more

Hotel Posada Stella Maris ligger i Puerto Barrios og tilbyder 5-stjernet indkvartering med have og fælles opholdsstue. Der er også concierge-service og legeplads. There is big enough and clean room with nice moutain views balcony. Also there is shared kitchen can be used. Very warm and helpful host. It is located Santo Tomas de castile, easy to take a taxi ( 30 GTQ ) or chicken bus( 3GTQ) from puerto Barrios center. Recommend to take couple days to chill out. There is walkable to beach and waterfall. The accommodation fee all goes to charity.

Reserva Natural Cañón Seacacar ligger i Izabal, 45 km fra Castillo de San Felipe de Lara, og tilbyder indkvartering med have, gratis privat parkering, terrasse og restaurant. Perfect place hidden in a small village. It’s the only accommodation in the village and has been build to help the local community. The first language in the village is Q’eqchi, the children are now learning Spanish in school from about age 5. The staff of the hotel is from the village and for them it is a place to learn and work in tourism. They are all very friendly and helpful. If you want to have a great Guatemalan experience in one of the most beautiful places of Guatemala, where the crowds don’t go (yet), this is where you want to go! I reached the hotel by a two hour trail that is insanely beautiful, constructed by the people of the village, easy to follow and a good climb to two wooden miradors with lake and jungle views. Always with the sound of absolutely fantastic river ‘sauce’ on the background. The next day I went down on a tube and they carried my bag down. The tubing in the river is what will drop your yaws!! Absolutely beautiful, a cañón with high Walls on both sides. Everything is well organized and clean. It absolutely worth a visit! I’m writing this review because I could not believe that I was the only tourist there (on a Saturday)! You will not regret your visit and you will probably (hopefully) write a similar review to help this village and the people creating a better future for there town. There are several projects ongoing, including deforestation! Go and enjoy jungle, river and peace while enjoying great food and comfortable accommodation(affordable too!)

Livingston Resort Hotel ligger i Lívingston og har have, terrasse, restaurant og bar. Hotellet ligger omkring et par skridt fra North Livingston Beach og 1,4 km fra Capitania Beach. The pool was amazing and has heating, allowing you to enjoy it even late at night. The food was amazing, I tried all of the pasta places in town and none came close to match theirs.

Casa Nostra ligger i Lívingston og har have, fælles opholdsstue, terrasse og restaurant. Dette 3-stjernede hotel har gratis wi-fi, roomservice og døgnåben reception. Management and all staff were super friendly, accommodating, and professional. We also loved our view on the large balcony. The hotel restaurant is outstanding, excellent food with a beautiful view of the ocean and surrounding mountains. We would definitely recommend to others looking to stay in the area.

Hotel La Casa Rosada ligger i Lívingston og har have, terrasse, restaurant og bar. Der er også roomservice, udflugtsskranke og gratis wi-fi overalt. Gæsterne kan nyde en drink i snackbaren. I loved the cozy and comfortable loft. The view of the loft was awesome and I loved the breeze of the ocean in the open loft. The stuff was super helpful with informations about Livingston and what I can explore. The Topada and the cappuccino in the restaurant was simply amazing.

Hotel El Reformador ligger i Puerto Barrios og har have, terrasse, restaurant og bar. Dette 4-stjernede hotel har gratis wi-fi, roomservice og døgnåben reception. It was centrally located near harbor restaurants. We felt safe there. They had English speaking staff at the front desk and they arranged an English speaking taxi for us that arrived promptly at 6:00 a.m. The room was clean and had plenty of hot water. The building felt very safe.

Nanajuana Río Dulce har restaurant, udendørs swimmingpool, fitnesscenter og bar i Río Dulce. Blandt de forskellige faciliteter på denne ejendom er der fælles opholdsstue, have og grillfaciliteter. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Pool was refreshing- needs a paint but I believe this is about to happen. Room was simple but comfortable. Good shower with hot water. Beds were very comfy. Lovely calm atmosphere. Restaurant and pool look out over the river. Dinner at restaurant was a bit pricey but good quality. Feels safe with a security gate and a long driveway off the main road.

Finca Tatin Hotel ligger midt i junglen, 3 km fra Livingston centrum. Der er stor have, møbleret terrasse og hængekøje. Bungalowerne har tropisk indretning, træmøbler og ventilator. If i have to select 1 place in Central America, this would be the one ! This property is magical. Placed in the jungle by the Rio Dulce is just perfect little paradise. The whole staff is great, perfect, nice , professional. It was a pleasure staying there. I sure will be back. For the digital nomads, if you need to do some loadings, you need to know that it will take you 3 to 5 times more time to work. But then again, you have the perfect environment and it's a great place to slow down.
