The breakfast was excellent as appears to be the case with most American owned hotels outside of the US. They serve cooked food on real plates with real utensils instead of donuts and cereal served on styrofoam cups and plastic utensils that the same chains use in the US.

The room is clean, spacious and has a sunny balcony that overlooks the courtyard; the shower is very warm; the beds are comfortable; and the buffet breakfasts are varied and delicious. There is a restaurant and lounge onsite, staff are very welcoming and friendly, and the mausoleum is less than a 10-minute walk from the hotel. (Make sure to walk the mausoleum grounds at sunrise and sunset; it is absolutely breathtaking.) Edem has everything we wanted for a very affordable rate. We highly recommend staying here!

This is a lovely, comfortable and cosy hotel in Turkestan. The staff were so friendly and professional, the hotel has a restaurant on premises servicing good quality meals and wines, very convenient if you don't want to go out. The rooms are a great size, the bathroom and maintenance is immaculate throughout the rooms and common areas, the bed was so very, very comfortable. We stayed an extra night to see a few more things in and near Turkestan and we're very happy to have this lovely place to come home to. Very happy to recommend a stay in this hotel.

The reception staff are very friendly, despite the fact that I arrived at the hotel late, my reservation was waiting for me. I was pleased that even instead of a standard room they offered me a luxury room. Clean and comfortable hotel
