We spent a very rainy day at Vantage Hills and it was the perfect spot to just relax and hole up. The staff was exceptionally friendly and supported us with everything we would need. The great restaurant meant we didn’t even have to leave to get something to eat 😅 When checking out the weather cleared and we got an impression of the absolutely gorgeous vista we’ve been missing. Highly recommended!

Stayed 3 nights in this comfortable homestay with squeeky clean floors, it had multiple rugs inside the room and bathroom to keep the floor dry, a big balcony to sitout and soak in the greenery around. It is also very close to the Ella Main road so you can walk down to the happening area and still far enough to offer you a peaceful comfortable night sleep. Obey the owner also runs a laundry which explains the cleanliness of the linen. The breakfast spread was excellent on all days. The staff including Sankar, Obey and his wife are all really helpful.

We had an amazing time at cozy cottage Ella. This place was amazing. The rooms were large and very clean. The rooms had air conditioner as well as a beautiful balcony where we watched the sunset. As well the bathroom facilities were amazing , hot water, good water pressure. If visiting Ella this is the place to stay not only will you get a comfortable, clean and inviting room to rest but you also get amazing service, breakfast and views. I will definitely be booking again!

We were super surprised at how big the room was, especially since we paid so little! The balcony was also a lovely addition. Big big big bonus points for the king size bed - loved it. The staff were extremely kind and they offer a tuk tuk service to bring you to and from Ella city center. Also, right on top of the hotel (literally 2’ uphill walk) is the 3arch bridge - the least famous sibling to the 9 arch one. We were lucky enough to see trains passing there and it was wonderful! We can only recommend! Thanks again.

Truly the staff is the highlight of this beautiful property. The restaurant service, the housekeeping, everyone is lovely and top notch. This was the best guesthouse we stayed at in Sri Lanka. The property and rooms are in great shape with beautiful views, hot water, good common area but it’s mostly the hospitality of the owner we loved. Fun to talk to and always happy to help with anything, pouring tea, renting out his scooters, etc. Hope to come back one day!

Stunning! the food, the view, their hospitality. It’s been the best place in the mountains for us. Lots of people go there to hike in Horton Plains but the host was right: the view from their terrace is even better. Regretting spending only one night on the site, we should have booked at least two:( Peaceful and quiet, but bear in mind that you might need warm clothes. Very good for hikes, and very cozy for doing nothing and enjoying nature.

Probably the best view a hotel could ever offer. And the staff are exceptionally helpful and lovely. We had various flight troubles and the manager contacted a friend at the airline and made every effort to help us. It really is one of the best places we've ever stayed. Very comfy beds and lovely rooms too.

We stay only on night in the hotel. Breakfast and dinner was excellent!! The flowers in the garden were really beautiful. We were lucky to see a wedding in the garden on the next morning, with authentic dancers and drummers , not to speak about the couple wearing traditional wedding dress. It was a unique experience.
